Didn't get to see the game (thankfully) but stuff like this has always bugged me.

Calgary Flames ‏@NHLFlames
"That's as bad as it gets, in the second and third, with guys trying to do too much ... it's unacceptable." - Mark Giordano

So, what does that mean? Never going to happen again? Someone will pay the price for it? Or will nothing will happen at all?

I deeply feel for the fans who paid money to watch this game down at the dome.

The Flames got away from the game plan in the second period and it cost them. They need to learn to be patient when facing teams that employ the trap.

Same old speech from Gio. Talk is cheap and it gets old pretty fast.

We can't afford milligans this time in the season. Every point is crucial from now on if we have any hopes of a post season.

Cue outrage now

Cue echochamber about patience and how this franchise hasn't been a joke for 26/28 years tomorrow.

The only good about tonight was getting 40% off a new Retro Tkatchuk jersey.

I'm not a Gulutzan hater or anything as the system does look good when (not consistently) it works but I think the opportunity to nab an elite coach is extremely rare nowadays. I really hope the management group is at least talking to Julien to see if there is a fit there.

I can explain away a lot of the things that haven't looked good this year. But Gaudreau's play is troubling. I was counting on him being a franchise cornerstone for this team. An elite level scorer.

Although I disagree with Hrudey that the bye week is somehow unfair and needs to go, I agree with previous poster that this game may not be representative. But the playoff chase starts now and they've put themselves behind the 8 ball now.

They couldn't hit the broad side of a barn door tonight. So many chances and nothing to show for it.

That time off sure did them in - no offensive coordination and weak defense for the last 40 minutes. Although one should give the Coyotes and their goalie credit for playing a pretty solid game.

So Gulutzan put Johnny on the 4th line for his turnover. I guess if that's how he's gonna do it, Wideman can get the eff off the second pairing for his mistakes.

This is total clownshoes from the Flames. Pay a third coach and get Julien in there ASAP.

What a shame that those new Canadians had to witness this garbage as their first Flames experience. The Flames couldn't even muster up one lousy goal for them. That sucks.

Brutal game. Refs did their best to gift us a goal. Even though the Flames beat teams like the Pens and Wild, IMO they continue to show why they don't deserve to make the playoffs with games like this.

The day this team got swept by the Oilers showed me they plain didn't deserve to make the playoffs, and I stand by that. To me, any kind of team success at this point is pretty much gravy. But this game was a whole other level of stink. Shut out 5-0 on home ice, against the worst team in the league? Brutal.

He had a few chances in the first. I'm not willing to pile on Gaudreau like the coach is. The whole team played like crap.

Not to mention the fact that they desperately needed the points tonight in order to stay in the playoff hunt. Honestly, if they can't find it in themselves to get up for important games like this, then there's no hope for this bunch.
