Flames are just missing on some great opportunities. That's the problem with 5 days off, even when you play well the rust will hamper you some.

Which is why the person who said they look awful really confused me. I expected timing to be off and for a slow start. This game has been all flames with the exception of a bounce off some pants.

I can play that game too, could just as easily be 2-1 Calgary. I do agree there've been some missed chances but we've been the better team so far and just have to keep at it imo.

Actually being able to finish on your chances is part of being the "better team".
The score doesn't really lie.
That said, I'm fine with how the Flames have been. Not bad for 5 days off.

Don't get me wrong, I like their energy so far. But their play with the puck has been pretty sloppy, and they have zero finish right now.
Versteeg and Bennett look good though.
