I agree 100%

Not to mention they gave him an A out of training camp. All this talk about exposing him is unrealistic

Yeah, fans just need to accept that pretty much all UFAs are overpaid, and $4 mil doesn't buy you much. Only second-tier players are available, and you usually have to sign them to deals that take them past their prime. Don't want to get stuck spending a lot of money on mediocre UFAs? Then draft and develop better.

Well, he can either hire somebody else to put the new tires on, or resign from the team so he has time to do it himself.

Flames again scouting in Ottawa, they scouted the Stars/Sens game on the 9th and will scout the Isles/Sens game tonight, FWIW.

Yikes. Maybe If they take Stajan, Bouma, Wideman, and throw in a pick with Bobby. Such a gentle name.

			Gaudreau - Monahan - RyanTkachuk - Backlund - Frolik
 Versteeg - Bennett - Chiasson
 Ferland - Stajan - Hathaway
 Bouma,

Obviously a roster player would be going the other way, I think the Flames are going to potentially expose Brouwer anyways and a package around him would be ideal:

 To Sens
 Brouwer
 1st round pick 17
 2nd round pick 18
 Andersson
 Poirier

 To Flames
 Ryan
 Lazar

Usually way off with prices as you know haha! Still fun to though!

Ryan's $7.25 mil cap hit for the next 5 seasons will handcuff the Flames in re-signing Tkachuk, adding to the blueline, and/or signing a starting goaltender.

I'd come if I had a chance to play with Johnny and Mony. The past is the past and I'm sure they've spoken to each other since then.

Should be noted the Flames also scouted the Philly/Isles game on the 9th, but they do play the Isles on Mar 5th.

I want Phaneuf back!! If only he made around 4-5 mil or maybe they are scouting Bobby Ryan...

Gaudreau-Monahan-Ryan

Probably Lazar though... Poirier for Lazar seems like the type of move Treliving would make.

Ridiculous overpayment IMO.
I wouldn't trade Andersson for Ryan and his cap hit straight across.

I think Ryan would do well on the Flames given our lack of RW depth. Stone usurped him as their go-to guy.
That being said, his contact is an anchor if he fails to produce as a top line winger and Ottawa is probably too cheap retain salary.
