Unfortunately I can't go back any earlier, but from 07/08 we have Huselius, Nolan, Langkow (which I did previously but lost when my first account was closed), Phaneuf, Regehr.
From 08/09 a Bertuzzi video would be pretty neat based on the number of pretty goals he scored. Langkow and Phaneuf other options again.
Oh what might have been for the most talented Flames team of that era had Gio stayed healthy...
We might not have felt the need to go overpay Bouwmeester if Darryl had seen Gio in the playoffs. Kept Cammalleri AND Jokinen. Traded Dion at his peak value. Alas.

That 08-09 team was a lot of fun. So many injuries in that first round series with the Hawks. Shame, because they had the guns to beat that young Hawks team.
Those injuries also cost them the division as they lost out by 2 points to the Canucks. Had they won the division, they would have played a pretty poor St Louis team, who were very beatable as well.
Flames threw away great chances at runs in the playoffs in 06, 08 and 09. The Playfair 07 team never had a shot against the Red Wings.

I agree, the 08-09 team would have had a shot at the conference finals if it wasn't for all of the injuries. I think that was the best team Sutter iced during his time as GM.

08? When they snuck in at 7th place? I don't think they really stood a chance that year either to be honest.
Can't wait for the Bertuzzi package. He was one of my first favourite Flames, because his name sounded funny. I'd always trade for him in NHL 09 for the PC. Man, I loved that game.
