It doesn't kind of show why Canada should be allowing in more immigrants and refugees. We have the room to grow, while most G7 and European countries do not.

1% growth is still pretty low.

I'd imagine Canada's population will continue to grow but the balance will shift from Alberta to other areas.

I thought that I read that Calgary had a population decline last year for the first time in decades.

Alberta wide we had net out migration but our baby boom exceeded deaths plus slightly negative migration. Calgary I think was always positive

Where? I don't see Saskatchewan or Manitoba ever becoming hotbeds. At least in Alberta you have close proximity to the mountains and BC.
