I've been wondering some about this, and wondering if your bathroom fan is right above or close by your tub, and what sort of venting you have. Seems possible (though highly improbably, really) that perhaps some bags got into your venting from the outside, and have worked their way down. Or were even left there during construction, and have finally worked their way out.

I do have a fan close to the tub but how would a bag squeeze through a fan especially since they're closed off and only have small air holes.
I did think of the fan but thought maybe the fan created a a vacuum like effect with the bathroom door closed so I even grabbed the same bag put it in the washroom with the door closed to see if it's possible the fan could pick up the bag and it didn't even flinch.
And the bag again is one I've never used before. I can't think of anywhere I've been that's had this bag.
I did call the police non emergency line last night and I'm pretty sure they were minutes away from calling the phyche ward.

I was thinking more that the bag got in through the top vent somehow, and worked it's down down over some given period of time. Does it look like an old, dirty, dusty bag? Or like a brand new one?
There is something to the possibility of the old owners coming in, especially if you haven't changed the back door locks. A friend of mine was home alone in her basement, when she heard someone upstairs. She had her cell on her, so she called the police. She stayed on the line with them, and then she heard the police upstairs calling her to come up. The person that broke in was the old woman that used to live there. She had Alzheimers and just went back to her old home and started moving things around.
Wasn't there a posting here recently where there was actually some homeless guy living in the house while they were gone, and they knew it because they found their bag with notebooks and stuff in it? Creepy.

O.K. there has been a lot of talk on whether or not MacTavish has actually done a good job for us, most fans on this board are very basic in their analysis and I feel would change their opinion entirely if the team was successful.

My grandma did something extremely similar. Horrid disease.
I can't reply or else I lose my post because of the malaware warning so in regards to Whitetiger-
I don't follow you unless there a venting system I've never seen before that would be impossible. Venting system is in the ceiling and it's closed off.
Are you sure you didn't put newly bought or old toilet paper, toiletries, towels, cleaning supplies or clothes in a plastic bag and then took that with you to the bathroom and forgot about the bag?
Could've thrown the bag on the floor while you were doing whatever you were doing and then it could've fallen out of sight and you forgot about it?
