Berglund - 100+ hits already and a big mean body that can play a 200 foot game, 700 faceoffs/51%, 12 G - can be used in lots of situations
Iginla - The story writes itself, RW - probably not full time with Johnny/Mony but certain situations for sure, just really would like to see this happen.
Stone - Still young, big, mean RHD that IMO could potentially replace Engs though that will be tricky with the expansion draft and what not. This is the guy we should be looking at to bring in for Brodie's right side. None of our current defenders have ever thrown 200+ hits in a season like Stone has, hope we take a stab at this one.

Saw enough of the Vrbata experiment in Van with two skilled guys. Not interested. The others, though, maybe.

The list says "top players" that could be dealt, so no.

Even so, I doubt that many people would rate Pavelec above MAF.
The list is most likely generated by combining likeliness of being moved with how good the player is by whoever the author is which i believe is Frank Seravali.

Conroy has already stated the Flames are not going to be looking at rentals. From your list above I would be okay with Stone and Iggy but I don't see it happening. I do not think Treliving should be spending assets on rentals as this team is too far away. Conroy did mention they are looking at longer term fits so signs point to a right winger. Flames really only have 5 forwards they have to protect (Gaudreau, Monahan, Backlund, Bennett, Frolik) so they could be in a spot to add a couple forwards and they could be apart of the team going forward.
If they decided to trade one of those forwards for a Dman they could explore the 4-4 protection option. I just don't see any of those 5 forwards moving

Gostisbehere was a healthy scratch for the 3rd game in a row tonight.
Wonder what it would cost to pry him out of Philly?

He was playing significant minutes for them, so it makes me nervous that he's suddenly been benched.
I don't watch the Flyers enough to know exactly why this is the case, but I did read they haven't been impressed with his defensive play of late.
We have a couple of Flyers fans around here, any insight?

Pass. Extremely overrated one dimensional offensive defenseman.
I wouldn't pay what Philly would want for a guy who is a bottom pairing/PP specialist.

Some of the goalie targets people have in mind are probably not feasible - at least not until the season is over. A contender is not going to be worried about the expansion draft until then. They are not going to weaken their chances (with a risk of ruining them completely if the starter goes down) for anything less than an extreme over-payment. Imagine the fallout if the starter goes down and results in a first round exit for one of the contenders, all for the sake of a 2nd round pick or something.
The only exception would probably be MAF simply because the Pens are willing to do him a solid apparently. Young and up-and-coming goalies on teams out of the race are fair game, but not solid up-and-coming goalies on contending teams. I am sure that in the off-season their prices will drop dramatically, but you can be sure that they would cost a substantial premium until then.

He reminds me of that one small offensive defenseman whose name escapes my mind right now who got passed from team to team later in his career and put up some pretty good numbers but couldn't stick to a team because he was terrible defensively.

So MAF, Halak, or a Buffalo goalie.

Kenny Agostino was called up and scored a goal last night everyone.
Why IgiTang used this thread in a backwards way to announce that we'll never know.

And Colbourne had a hat trick in his first game for the Avs.
Agostino had a good game. Big deal. He's nothing more than an AHL-er.

I'm not convinced of this idea that he could never be an NHLer. Some guys take time to become complete players and good pros. He only left college a couple seasons ago.
Despite the fact that we would love it if our management group was infallible, they are human and they do occasionally make mistakes. It's entirely possible that not even qualifying Agostino was a mistake. We shall see in time, but I'll definitely be keeping an eye on Agostino's progression.

I thought the Flames were flush with bottom six guys (Chiasson, Stajan, Hathaway, Bouma, Ferland)... why are we pining after another?

I'm happy Flames have no one on the trade bait list. Nice to be a buyer for a change.
I'd still bet on BT doing small deals and getting good assets back for guys like Spoon and Bouma. Assets he'll spend later (if he is still here) on guys that address this team's holes.

Hoping the Flames flip Versteeg for something regardless, just not a fan. Getting an extra 2nd, 3rd and a 4th, whatever combination can be valuable when the Flames go goalie hunting again.
