Just a note on my sharing of that tweet, it wasn't intended to be funny. That account is 4 days old and is going viral. There is no confirmation it's satire. Obviously not claiming it's legit either, so anyone claiming to know otherwise shouldn't be.
That's not how it works. A user on an anonymous medium is not to be taken seriously until proven otherwise, not the other way around

I said there's no way to know it's legit or satire, and that anyone claiming to know otherwise shouldn't be. You've now said 'it's been debunked several times'... I suppose I should just believe you?
It's hard to comprehend that this whole train wreck series of events is real life. I mean, it seems like we are watching a bad reality TV show... is that it? Is this the most elaborate Punk'd episode of all time?
Dan Carlin made an interesting case for the potential of a Third party if it were led by a reputable and well funded celebrity.
It may not be ideal, but a viable third party would need big money and big time recognition to have a chance of being relevant. It can't be led by an idiot like Gary (sorry but a spade is a spade).
Put Leonardo DiCaprio (dodges rotten fruit thrown by Albertans) and Liz Warren/Bernie Sanders on the ticket of a third party...and you might have something.
Zukerburg could run as a third party candidate.
I like Gary Johnson, but he'll never get enough support.
Your point is a good one, and I think it raises a big issue: we've been discrediting his intelligence for too long, that I think we are fixated on his in-competence.
Honestly.
We need to stop giving a crap about his distractions (twitter being #1), and start focusing on what his actions are. It's a bunch of "look at how ridiculous my left hand is" while with his right hand he is purging the State Department and trying to muzzle the press.
The issue isn't Trump. He's completely predictable (in his unpredictable way). His ego rules at all times.
What we need to be concerned about is who has the real power behind the scenes and is pulling Trump's strings, and, what checks and balances are in place that can put a stop to the nonsense.
Yup. And he clearly isn't smart enough as a leader to know what the consequences will be for his 'executive orders.'
We are a week and a bit into his Presidency, and already he has been played more than once. If he doesn't figure out how to actually run the show politically, his 4 years will be a complete disaster on top of the gong-show it already will be.
He has also surrounded himself with crazies. That means the proposals people will bring to him will be a lot like the one that started this whole mess. Clearly he isn't smart enough to realize that it is a no-brainer that the judicial branch will put a stay on his order, and it could easily be overturned. Which begs the question why did he sign the order to begin with?
I honestly believe these guys don't care how government works. Steve Bannon admits to wanting to burn the whole thing down to the ground. Trump only cares about getting his name in the paper. The rest of the clowns are in the car just because of the power and paycheck. They don't care how government works and they will do everything in their power to forward their agenda and ignore the machinations of government as needed.
While they may not care, they also clearly don't understand it either. It is one thing to talk about your racist policies, but when you try to sign them into law and the judicial branch basically plays you like a fiddle, it just goes to show that you didn't do your homework on whether or not the policy was constitutionally legal to begin with. And if Trump doesn't have a single person on his team that could tell him 'hey, this will probably get overturned and will just make a lot of Americans who voted for us angry', well then I guess he is even dumber than I originally thought. And I figured he was pretty stupid.

If (as) this anti-immigration order is overturned by the courts, His supporters are not going to get angry at Him, they're going to get angry at the "activist courts." Which is exactly what He wants -- to have the legitimacy of the courts undermined.

Kudos to you if you can sit through them. I'm waiting for the bullet-point highlights.

it's a complete waste of time to listen to a word he says.
In the sense that nothing can be done about it, yeah, I guess... but I would think it's pretty important to get a sense of what the next asteroid of awful crap hurtling towards us might look like.
Apparently he suggested that anyone in any federal department (specifically state) who doesn't like the direction the White House is taking should get on board or quit. That's a pretty vomit-inducing signal to send.
