The Stanley Cup Final while dramatic isn't the best hockey. They players are so beat up that it's just survival of the fittest. And it's in JUNE!
If your team is not in it, it's tough to watch 2 months of playoffs without your team to get to the SCF unless you're a diehard.
Yeah, we all know pre-season is the most exciting hockey around. All the teams get to play, and none of the players are all beat up yet.
Yea, that comment (Ferland > Gaudreau) is another ridiculous example of the small contingent of people on here who can't help but over-dramatize everything.
While Gaudreau might not be the most deserving Flames this year, he has the star power and (without question) will be one of the most exciting players to watch in the 3-on-3 format - out of anyone there.
So while it might not compute in one sense, it makes complete sense in another.

31 points in 41 games in a down year where he's been saddled with Chiasson pretty much the whole time...
Not great but also not as bad as some are making him seem. He needs to be better and will be. Every player in the league including Kane who some compare him to go through times like this. This is pretty much the first time he's looked human in 7 years. Not worried at all.

Watched this a few times now and while it was a high risk high reward play (like most are in 3 on 3 OT) it reminded me of how great Johnny is at stealing pucks in such a sneaky way.
Similar to how he out-hustled Sedin setting up that GWG in the Wold Cup:
Looking forward to seeing him in 3-on-3 action. He's one of the very best at it.
Didn't read back to see if it was posted but if anyone was wondering the times etc:
