Fired once. Someone made the mistake of hiring just turned 18 year old pylon to be a forklift driver in a printing factory with millions of dollars of equipment. 18 year old pylon got way to confident way too soon, and took out a $200,000 piece of equipment driving way too fast around a corner.
Only once. GlenEagles golf course created a bartender position one summer and I thought it was the perfect gig. All the free golf I could want, and bartending at a golf course was pretty simple. Unless there was a special function (Mother's Day, wedding, etc.) it was really easy, and even with the special events I didn't consider it a very hard job.
About a month in they realized that they didn't really need a separate bartender, except for the special occasions, so they canned me. Honestly, I totally understood the decision because they didn't really need me, but instead of being honest about it, they told me my performance was poor. When I asked about what was poor the response was "I wasn't helping clear plates during the Mother's Day brunch"
The weirdest part of the story was I saw my boss in the morning when I went golfing, but he waited until I went home and came back for my shift to tell me this. Weird.

Really? Man, you needed a Union for a job like that.
We had a forklift driver when I worked at Greyhound who literally drove the forks into a Bus' baggage tank because he wasnt paying attention and he didnt even get sent home or anything let alone fired.
Think about that, he was driving a forklift. In a Bus loading Bay. And he hit a Bus. Because he wasnt paying attention. That takes a little something special.
I remember one time our forklift driver drove over someone's foot which, I probably dont need to tell you, caused a lot of damage, as those things (by design) are ridiculously heavy.
Shoulders shrugged....'accidents happen.'

If you thought this season would have a happy ending, you haven't been paying attention.
In high school I got fired from IGA for stealing a Cadbury Easter egg haha. Worst part is I didn't even actually steal it, it was a big misunderstanding. But it's prob not worth the typing on here to explain it.
EDIT: The more interesting part of that work day was just hours before getting canned, I helped ring through DJ Tanner aka Candice Cameron's groceries. That's back when her husband Val Bure played for the Flames. Sadly for me when I got the axe later that day, there was no "acoustic guitar" Full House-esque moment of understanding..

Yeah, that's what all the hardened criminals say.

Haha I actually thought it would sound that way, but the story is far too boring to explain I'm sure. In a nutshell, it was out of the damaged returns bin to be tossed out, they thought it was right off the shelf. There's more to it, but trust me you won't care
And undercoverbro, I'm glad to hear you say that, cuz I felt old reminiscing about it even being an IGA haha
Working as an apprentice electrician I got the whole there is no work today for a few days before I took the hint. other than that I kept jobs for long periods of time. First when I was 14-21 then 21-28 and then 28 until now 39. I don't like looking for jobs.
Yeah, I was fired from a job a few years ago. The director didn't like me as a team lead. Thought me and my boss were not being team players because we were pushing for work for our team not just the main part of the division.
At one point in a meeting about a team survey the managers asked if we were comfortable hearing what our teams had to say about us, and I said that if you're not comfortable hearing what your team has to say about you, then you shouldn't be here.
That was the thing that got me fired. I also said that we'd hired a lot of people with project or manager in their title and that the staff were overwhelmed with work from all these project and manager types.
So I was let go. I don't regret what I said for a minute, and I still think that. The first person who saw me after I was canned hired me at my current job, for all the reasons I got fired.

The parents were adamant that I needed a job after High School so I accepted a position as Assistant Manager at the K-Mart shoe department in NE Calgary.
Like Locke, I worked at a Greyhound up north. Road manager came up, saw me and a co-worker. Went to our boss and told him to fire both of us. Me for the super long hair, the co-worker because he wore those god awful weightlifting pants and "looked like a clown."
I was hired back 3 days later with a raise because the boss found he couldnt do it all himself. Clown guy stayed fired.
Also got fired from a bar DJ job because the manager for some reason did not like me. She claimed it was for stealing tips, which was untrue. The bartenders all stood up for me on that falsehood.
