He deleted this tweet. Why you ask? Well other than to correct his spelling skills that rival a 6 year old (amoung?), so he could repost national security as NATIONAL SECURITY. Lol if he wasn't going to severely set the world back, I would just love how exceptionally immature he is. He might actually be at negative maturity at this point

The Following User Says Thank You to Senator Clay Davis For This Useful Post:
275 still puts him at the bottom of the list for presidents that served 2 full terms.
I know that graph had a bunch of Obama comments embedded, but that's not why I pasted it. I just grabbed a graph to show numbers for general information. Didn't notice the quotes while I was doing it.
He's going to eventually order an investigation into the crowd size of the inauguration, and like this likely sham of an investigation, will only end up with a result that says "The orange goblin is right".

You have to love a President who is willing to waste government resources and taxpayer dollars on conspiracies.
I hope he has a major governmental investigation to prove Obama is Kenyan, once and for all. It didnt' work out when he was a private businessman and hired a team of lawyers, but now that he has government resources, he should pick this back up. I'm sure America would back him up on that.
I agree that tightening voting regulations is a good thing. I don't understand the whole issue I suppose (and why some people have called it racist), but I firmly believe you should have to show some sort of government ID to vote. In Canada, you had to at the last election. In our last provincial election you didn't have to (but you did have to swear an oath saying you were who you said you were and etc) and that doesn't even make sense. For civic elections it doesn't even matter.
But this idea of his about millions of illegal voters is just crazytalk! I'm sure a VERY small number of people did illegally vote (likely done by mistake, for example they have the same name as a deceased person, or they somehow voted in the wrong electoral district by stupidity of themselves and the polling officers).
Seems like he is really making hay with his campaign promises... for good or bad.
I'm pretty sure most of the documented attempts at voter fraud prior to election day (during early voting) were by Trump voters. Generally they ran with "Just making sure the system works". Voter fraud has been extensively analyzed already, it just does not happen at any remotely significant level.
Oh and Trump mentions voters registered to vote in two states. Did you know his chief adviser is registered to vote in two states? #### is just too ridiculous at times.

This one is right out of the Republican playbook, actually. They have been working hard at the state level to disenfranchise minorities via the boogeyman of voter fraud. Trump is just taking that policy to the federal level.

The bolded isn't correct at all. A bus pass and a utility bill is enough to satisfy Canadian ID requirements. As are a ton of other options as you can see in the link above.
To me, any time you make it more difficult for people to vote there has to be a compelling reason. If there's little to no evidence of voter fraud with existing ID requirements, then why make them more stringent? Obviously Republicans want to because it suppresses voters who tend to favor the Democratic Party, but that's just partisanship. I can't think of a single reason how the public or democracy is served by making it harder for people to vote.
And I cannot think of a single legitimate reason someone would go commit voter fraud. You still need a name that is actively on the registration roll. So it's not like you can walk into a random polling place, just give them a name and you go vote. Has to match the registration list. So committing serious level voter fraud requires significant planning and resources to actually work. It's just a boogieman, but an effective one.

Not to pile on but this is one of the populist issues that sounds really good on the surface and easy to get behind.
Each person is only allowed to vote in their district so requiring with government issued ID (which everyone should have) makes sense to eliminate any potential problems.
It sounds great and it sounds very reasonable, however it is predicated on one false assumption, That everyone should have government issued photo ID. The fact is that people for many reasons don't have government issued photo ID. The people that don't skew poorer and include more minorities.
So in the end Voter ID is just a poll tax.
On the other hand issue of voter fraud is non-existent, errors in counting outweigh instances of voter fraud so there is no evidence of it ever influencing a result.
So what was a very reasonable idea on closer examination is just an excuse to exclude voters who disproportionately vote against you.

In 2013 the Supreme Court effectively ruled that racism isn't an issue anymore, and this has paved the way for states to re-draw their voting districts, and in the case of North Carolina and Texas, courts found that these re-drawings unconstitutionally targeted poor black voting districts.
In addition the increased regulations have made it more difficult for poor minority voters to be able to vote. Some of the changes that have been made include closing voting registration offices, moving them to isolate poor neighbourhoods and making it harder to register to vote. They also charge for ID which is a cost that many don't want to make.
There's a lot of information on this topic, but the key of it is pinned to the gutting of the VRA in 2013. They're making it harder to vote and the claim is that there is massive voter fraud, but the reality is that there are maybe 3-4 documented cases for true voter fraud and this is in the entire election.
It's basically touted as being a major issue, and it's really not. In fact you probably have more cases of voter fraud in state legislature than you do in public voting.

Who is in charge of this product and why haven't they been fired yet?
It has racist implications, for sure, but mostly insomuch as black Americans generally vote Democrat, and that's the vote they're trying to suppress. For example, in Texas where a gun permit is legal ID to vote, and yet a student ID is not. Gun owners overwhelmingly vote Republican, students generally lean more Democrat.
I feel like this has been posted 10+ times in the last 4 months. Why do so many people believe otherwise?
I have no idea, because it's always been this way. I remember having to use mail and some random card (maybe student ID) in '06 because I couldn't find my wallet.
