High glove side is almost certain a goal vs Johnson.

You know we can bitch about the D all we want (and it's justified), but at some point our goalies have to make a ####ing save to bail them out. That never happens.

Maybe Sigalet should, you know, work with Johnson on his glove side or something?
Maybe someone should do something.
Anything.

I'm not really sure what Hartley's contract was with the Flames. When does it expire? I know he signed a two year extension in 2014.
We don't know the details of Gulutzan's contract but I can't imagine he has a high $ contract. Likely significantly less than Hartley. So I think that the Flames could reasonably pay out Hartley and Gulutzan if we could pick up Julien.

His glove hand looked fine earlier in the season when he was new to the team. Maybe the problem is that Sigalet has been working on Johnson's glove side?

Mm I suppose, though I think 1-0 wins in the shootout wouldn't be sustainable.

Maybe it's simply unsustainably low shooting percentages for the team? Someone use fancy stats to make me feel better. We'll be an offensive dynamo anytime now, just you watch.

My armchair analysis is that they are still trying, but their energy is simply misguided and the lack of confidence is so apparent.
Which really gets you to the same conclusions.
The leaders need to lead better.
The coaches need to coach better.
The players need to play better.
There is plenty of blame to go around but it does seem they could use SOMEONE to lead them out of this. In hindsight all the leadership on the team that was touted during the playoff run two years ago may have been overrated.

Wouldn't really matter if the offence doesn't wake up. Lose 1-0 or 4-0, result is the same. These guys need to wake up. Roster from top to bottom are making poor decisions with and without the puck.

Dump. Change. Dump. Change. Dump. Change.
How can we sustain any pressure when we are always in the midst of a change?

on the plus side, you can't blame that one on Johnson
Giordano took the wrong guy, getting in Hamilton's way and leaving the other player side open

Low % Percentage is a given considering we get like 2 dangerous shots per game.

Maybe Sigalet should be fired...goaltending, since he has come on, has been on a downward spiral
