Lol 8-1 and Byron scores a hatty. That'd just be the cherry on the cake after this garbage run.

You know honestly I thought they played pretty well in the first. Gaudreau seemed to have some jump and I thought Elliott looked really sharp. Tough bounce and a nice deflection was a tough break at the end of the period. Even so I thought again they came out in the second and we're playing fine. Then Elliott gives up the Kadri stinker and everything went to hell. Just s goal that cannot go in especially with a team this fragile. Add on the shorty and game over. A solid period and a half down the drain. The whole team has no confidence right now and it's frustrated to watch.

Something needs to change if they are going to save the season. Whether it's the system the coach or whatever. Fact of the matter is our best offensive players are not getting it done. Love the 3M line, but the flames will not be successful depending on them for the offence. They have three offensive guys on the back end that for whatever reason are not utilizing those skills to help create offence. System related or whatever that needs to change.

And wil they please sit Wideman. Wow he was awful tonight.

This team was always going to be in the mix for a playoff spot and you know what, they are. But in the mix means they are going to be a 7-10th ranked team out of 15. And that means peaks and valleys. This is as bad as the start to the season but there's nothing to say they can't pull out of it again.

It's an absolute joke some of you are looking at lottery odds and picks at this point in the season. They're in a playoff spot today. That's not rose coloured glasses, that's just facts.
If you don't like it, leave. The team's been an absolute embarrassment recently, and the only thing making it slightly better is that there are other people (here) as mad about that as I am.

You know what optimism and hope gets you? A beer, if you happen to have $8.75 in the other pocket.

And his inspiring words in the post game interview?

"It's not how many goals you score. It's how many games you win"

Fans from every single fanbase get angry when their club plays like a wet sack of crap, get over yourself trying to tell everyone how they should feel about the team.

I consider myself to be an optimist but at this point I honestly couldn't care less if the Flames managed to make the playoffs this year. I won't say this team is unwatchable right now but it's starting to become stale very, very quickly.

I miss Johnny doing Johnny things. I miss Monahan being Mr. Clutch. I miss Gio blasting one-timers and Brodie skating circles around the opposition.

As a fan, last season was disappointing. But this season is just painful. Sigh.

I hope for ownership's sake the wait list is long.

But go ahead raise ticket prices anyway.
Our company got three season tickets this year after being on the wait list for four months. Yes, four months.

I'm not convinced there's a lot of people on that list these days.

There's a difference between telling people how to feel(which I'm not doing) and stating facts of the situation(which I am).

The teams sucks right now. I swore with anger for the first time in awhile tonight, but when the buzzer went, the flames were still in a playoff spot, the Kings lost, and the Canucks are still bound to falter when their upcoming road games against top teams happen. All that leads the flames to still be in the mix, something that everyone wanted at Game 1 of the season.

What a strange time to go totally in the toilet. Almost makes you wonder if something is going on within the team. Teams win and lose, and Flames aren't a great team but its like they fell off a cliff.

Lose twice in one week to your biggest rival, get swept in season series, GM rumoured to be out soon.

It's a hostile environment.

Nope. Gonna enjoy my few days in Calgary, go down to the Ironwood and listen to some folk music. Waay more fun than watching this team right now.

Tonight's game was a joke - started watching about mid-way in the 2nd and about 10 sec later the Leafs scored to make it 2-0. Just went downhill from there. Blech.

Remember when the Flames made the leafs look bad in Calgary earlier this season?

They've sure come crashing down since then.

A game above .500 now means say goodbye to playoffs. Teams that get in are a dozen or more games above it. Don't see the flames widening that gap in so few games.

May be too late for Treliving to do anything but if there's any chance of righting the ship something has to be done ASAP. I have zero faith in that happening. Brad's all about staying the course....which will be to a 10th place finish and mediocre draft pick.

I think it would be pretty embarrassing to watch this team in the playoffs.

Ha. Ha. Ha. Yup, the softest team in the league who somehow have an astronomical number of penalties since the night of the crosscheck last season. Let's make them look even worse. For a bunch of goons, they sure act like a bunch of pansies.
