I was reading this article last night which I though was interesting. The cheering during Trump's speech to the CIA was apparently people he brought with him. I've also read that he paid some of these individuals. http://www.cbsnews.com/news/sources-...ump-cia-visit/
Worth noting that Spicer specifically denied these reports at the briefing and claimed that the white house brought over fewer than ten people, none of whom were in the crowd, and that the crowd was all CIA employees.
Now whether you believe him...

See, you thank a post by cliff fletcher saying whatever trump or his administration is meaningless and then take Trump more or less at his word for what was an otherwise small and unimportant part of his speech where he also suggested war crimes might be the order of the day in future wars with Iraq.
I don't know how you square these two things.
Oh I didn't know thanks were only for things you agreed with. I sometimes "thank" things that people post that are interesting even if I don't agree. Or points that I hadn't thought of but made me consider something new.
Kind of like... oh thanks for proving me wrong. Or thanks for backing up your point with more than just some flippant comment.
I'm just trying to understand the viewpoints here, I am no expert. Just thinking out-loud, sorry if all my posts don't make a lot of sense. I'm just typing as I go, trying to figure out how to interpret all the crap in this thread from a less anti-Trump view (ie/ I want to try to be neutral, if that's possible at this point).
But is his message wrong? He wants to support the CIA... and what about that is wrong in your opinion?
I think he's smart for supporting the CIA.
My point was, he's a mentally ######ed illiterate, and they must be astounded, he is the POTUS
his message is disingenuous at best.
Remember this...
""These are the same people who said Saddam Hussein has weapons of mass destruction."
Yeah but what I mean is: are there any non-maniacs who aren't against him?
This thread is a giant anti-Trump circle-jerk and it's keeping all but the true hardcore Trump supporters silent.
I am not FOR him per se, I just don't think all the hatred is warranted. I just want more civility in the anti-Trump discussion, if that's even possible.
You should start a pro-Trump circle jerk thread

How do you know most of the viewpoints in this thread aren't neutral?
What issues or statements do you think trump is being unfairly misrepresented by posters in this thread?

Well if this doesn't prompt tens of thousands of people to follow him one day, then unfollow the next, and keep doing it just to troll him, I'll be very disappointed.

I would but I don't think anyone would post in there.
It feels like you're falling into a golden mean fallacy here in thinking that since the voices against him are so loud there should be equally supportive voices. The truth doesn't have to be in the middle, it's entirely possible this is a massive black mark on America and the office of President and this is all rather necessary.

I'll be honest... I'm having a great time with Trump running for, and becoming, President. This has been one hilarious chapter after another in what is turning into an epic political comic book. Only Rob Ford might have come close on the entertainment scale.
