Him and Mony need a skilled RW...preferably with some size

I don't understand this notion that Monahan and GAudreau need a big rw

They were a top nhl line with a small high skill guy in hudler.

Because he had zero clue how to adjust his gameplan when it was obvious teams had us figured out and we were terrible as a result.

He also made a lot of horrible passes right to the sticks of Oilers. He needs to be better. 3 points over the past 10 games won't lead to a lot of Ws for us.

well skill is the most important part...some size on that wing would also be a plus

But goaltending was horrible. Hartley deserved one more year after what he did the year before.

If Boston fires Claude Julien, this team needs to be all over it.

Hey Oilers, stick these up your behinds.

4 first overalls. Four.

Flames had to use brains to draft the players they have today. They didn't have them fall into their laps. You deserve nothing, and when (if?) the universe corrects itself, surely some form of karma is bound to catch up to such a shoddy, lucky team.

That said, the Oilers fully deserved a W and Flames a L tonight, and there's no use debating that.

Sucks cheering for the Flames, and living here. These fans are so freaking annoying.

Anyone remember what the deal would have been for bishop that fell thru around the draft?

When is this going to stop....they were the better team tonight, and the better team this year. Get over it.
Flames will be bad for the foreseeable future if they keep this coach, and half the players on this team.

Plus his team had no answer for trap teams like the Ducks.

I am becoming as apathetic as some of the players wearing the flaming C.

Silver lining is that perhaps the system is decent enough, and the team has most of the necessary pieces organizationally, but need to learn how to play possession hockey better. It would explain how they take so many minor penalties. Hartley's system was a more passive system that relied on counterattacking. Maybe they just need more experience in playing this kind of a system.

On the other hand, I would not be upset if the Flames decided on a coaching change next season either. This team seems unprepared too often and unable to make comebacks. They don't seem to have that urgency, determination, passion and intensity in their game any longer. They also don't seem able to generate high-quality scoring chances, and seem overly-concerned about making sure that they win the corsi game.

They are in a playoff position, but I seem to look at them as not being much better than last season's team, and generally worse than the season before that.

They are still a rebuilding team, and being in a playoff spot is great, but it seems like the other teams being bad has just as much to do with their place in the standings.

Is there any way we can deport Monahan? A simple benching won't satisfy my blood lust.

Let's send his family to an arctic work camp as well, just to hammer the message home.

What message? "I'm angry."

Really Chad has been fine...but he is a backup, played too much and now he is playing poorly

Elliott, turns out he is not the starter we are looking for

Good thing is they are both on 1 year deals
