ahhhh, the 70's. Brutal architecture, shag carpets, and comments that don't require anyone to rub 2 IQ points together.

I Googled it:
ginch gives 306,000 results
gitch gives 49,800 results.
I lose.
edit: also found results for gonch, gitchies, gonches, and ginches.

I read it again, and I still don't sense any sarcasm.
And I'm not sure what to take from that reply of yours. Bad typo makes what you really mean indecipherable.
And Mr. Coffee, I guess being overly sensitive isn't manly either?
I was going to blow this thread up, but I'll leave it alone.

Since I'm a language expert, I'm going to offer my ruling that all of the above are acceptable--to wit: ginch, gaunch, gitch, gitchies, gaunchies, all are acceptable usages.
What is not acceptable is actually wearing them. Tighty-Whities are very, very wrong.

And what about day 7? Do they have to wear the same undies for 2 days at some point?
I would be more offender by someone's second day dirty undies, then what type they are.

Big problems with the Richmond fire department in the last year. Women were verbally abused by their male co-workers, they were denied the right to their own seperate bathroom and were made the subject of offensive and sexist practical jokes.
When some women tried to raise the issue the fire department administration told them to buck up and get used to it. They finally took the issue to the BC Human Rights Commission where the RFD was thoroughly chastized (and rightly so) in the court and in the media.
This is one of many remedial measures to have some type of gender parity in the work place for female firefighters. When you look at it in isolation it seems quite silly but there are very serious reasons as to why we have got to this point. Sad really.

You're right, Hakan.
These things look absolutely ridiculous. In fact, I typically hate all these "women's equality PC measures" cause I deem them unneccesary... women and men are equal... seems self evident. Then I realize that there are still neanderthals running around who don't seem to understand that women and men are equal, so we have to implement these things cause these morons still don't get it.

IMO whoever can do the job to the specified measures and the job is done right and without problem or whatever. It doesn't matter if you are a guy or girl or both... black, brown, yellow, pruple, green wahtever. I'm tired of this. If you can do the job you should be hired regardless.

Hey, I agree completely. Normal people think this way. Trouble is, too many people don't... so unfortunately, like children in the playground, the government has to step in.

In most cases you're right and women should be given the opportunity, but I bet few women are physically capable of being fire uh, persons.
