Removing banking regulations that came in after the bust seems like it might encourage another short term boom, so maybe stocks are a good investment short term?
Are you talking specifically bank stocks?

The narrative they've created is that she lost because celebrities talk too much and people wanted to protest. The reality is states mostly voted as they always do except a few that flipped red when Trump's populist message struck a chord with the poorly educated white voter. The protest vote piece is vastly overblown.
Of voters who disliked both broke 2-1 for trump. This was enough to swing key states. It's not a wide spread rejection of the status quo but of voters who didn't like the status quo or what was being offered went for the mystery box.
Lol since apparently July 4th doesn't exist, Trump just signed in law today as a "National Day of Patriotism". Missed opportunity to call it "National Murica #### Yeah! Day"

With how great Murica is going to be again, they are going to need two days.

To present it as the mystery box is disingenuous. They went with the image of the blustery strong man over a woman.

That's actually quite disturbing. These are the behaviors of a totalitarian regime.
It's not usual for the whitehouse.gov site to have everything replaced with a new president, the old is archived officially somewhere (can't remember where). So the change itself isn't unusual or ominous I don't think.

I'm not sure, or an index fund or a cross section of stocks.. In a boom isn't the general trend up since everything generally benefits?

I’m always amazed these sportscasters and announcers can call the game with McDavid’s **** in their mouths all the time.

They bought his lies of bringing back jobs, bring back dead industries, and every other amount of crap that dribbled from his lips. It will not take more than one year before every single one of those voters are regretting their vote because President Comacho will have forgot about them and moved on to other money making schemes. Trump is not about helping people. He never has been. Donald Trump is about Donald Trump and will only do things that help Trump interests. The people of Ohio, Indiana, Michigan, etc. offer nothing to furthering Trump's interests.

Nope, the change isn't. The content is...

The White House site now says that "killings have risen by 50%" in D.C. That is incorrect. They were up in 2015, down in 2016.
Whitehouse.gov is no longer a reliable source of information, folks.

I'm figuring if I'm going to play with stocks, I'm going to go in on US heavy manufacturing especially auto. Natural Gas and Oil. Invest heavily in banking and high tech companies focused around government defense contracts.
I would probably dump my way out of Canadian Manufacturing. Canadian Energy including Oil and gas. and based around when NAFTA is open, Canadian natural resources exports.

I read on Twitter that the Department of Labour website, has removed any references to LGBTQ rights in the workplace.
Not sure if true, but would not be surprised.
Can someone check the CBA and see if Canada can claim Obama off waivers or something?

The minority that swung the few key states that tipped the election to Donnie. I assume you followed how states tend to vote either red or blue and a handful (rust belt specifically) were what flipped how it was expected to turn out.
