This isn't a playoff team.

The problem right now is the top 6 - and has been for the past 10 games or so. Bennett playing poorly. Johnny playing poorly. Brouwer invisible. There's not enough talent on this team for this to happen.

This team is too inconsistent. Some games they can only score one goal. That's because they're dependent on one line only, and no single line in hockey can score goals every game

Did you intentionally omit 2 centres? Just trade Monahan or Bennett then, I guarantee you either will land you what you will consider an upgrade at centre.

This is my point - hard to call the team inconsistant when about half the players are bringing it on a consistant basis - hamilton, engelland, bouma, stajan, frolik, backlund, tzachuck, johnson, hathaway, F hamilton, Versteeg have been fairly consistant. Even Gio has been fairly good since the first 15 games.

Meanwhile, Johnny, Brodie, Monahan, Bennett Brouwer, Chiasson, Jokipakka, Wideman have been super inconsistant throughout the season.


Five of those players are part of the flames top 6 forwared and top 3 defense.

Flames have started a slow leak out of the playoffs since that Jets game. Putting Saturday in a must win spot to avoid what will be a very bad 14 day stretch if the don't.
