Sometimes that happens with these goaltenders out of nowhere. They look incredible because they are unknown, but eventually the shooters figure them out.

Personally I think he's just a little fatigued. Should have kept Elliott in after his last game IMO. He earned another start and he's a good goalie. We shouldn't be afraid to play him.

This is one of the worst games I've ever seen Gaudreau play. He made one sweet pass in the first period, but since then he's looked like garbage.

Yup. They're usually not "soft", in the sense that they're good shots (Trochek's sure were) but they're from far enough out and without any traffic. I'd be more charitable and call those goals "stoppable" rather than "soft".
