Still getting the message on Chrome as well. IE doesn't seem to pick up on it though.

It'll stay until Google does the site reevaluation and updates whatever it is they have to update, we don't have any control of that other than to request a check.

Downloaded an old version of Netscape Navigator. It's not detecting any malware, FWIW!

You can still find old versions of Netscape around, yup.
Mozilla took it over years ago and rebranded it Phoenix doubt if any of the code remains though.

The message comes from the browser itself, so the browser would have to check some list somewhere on the Internet to know if to display the warning or not. Each browser likely uses their own list, or at least IE isn't going to use Google's list (if IE even has such a functionality).

I got an email that the review is complete and the sites have been removed from the list, the change will still take some time to propagate but should happen in the next few hours.

Was getting it on Chrome all morning (10:15 am here). Just checked again and the warning is gone.

My doctor gave me some penicillin and cream and I'm OK now.
or maybe it's because I'm at home and not work anymore.

Still not working for me today in both Chrome and IE at work. But we have a pretty agressive AV policy. but is was working fine a few days ago. Works fine on my iPad at home.
