Here, literally anything else to discuss

Obama continues to flood our streets with drug addicts and dealers. His plan to destroy America is in its final day.

Again, we see the twisting here by Rube with this statement, trying to frame it as a misogyny debate. But only 54% of women identity as "pro-choice", with only 31% of Republican voters identifying as pro-choice.

So, a white male republican legislator is proposing abortion bans. Is this misogyny or is this someone representing their constituency?

Not really. I was constructing a hypothetical dichotomy between two people who would likely have completely different life experiences, but nice try.

Your comment specifically called out legislators knowing full well there is a plethora of other reasons why a male elected representative would propose banning abortion. Again you continue to try to apply simplistic reasoning to a complex issue, failing to understand that there can be a multitude of reasons why a certain action takes place.

Considering we are in a thread discussing American politics, I didn't have to reach very far for my example.

edit- I guess it is very noble, compared to others who would just deceive or flat out lie about it, Trump, Kelly Anne, come to mind, but by normal standards, it isn't that noble. Ultimately, I think he is just looking for a job.
Entirely possible that he is just saying what he thinks will play best to the public, but we are sadly at a point where any nominee who says something that isn't idiotic earns a couple points in my books.

When you think of how low the bar will drop for basic human decency during this administration, it is actually terrifying. Think about it, it is feasible that in a few months, liberal voters would be celebrating Pence being sworn in as President.

I think the only way to resolve this is to post Sam Harris videos until someone's eyeballs explode out of their skull.

He is completely unqualified, but he is only 80% horrible, so he ranks above most of the other nominees

I'd celebrate a meteor hitting the earth before a Pence presidency. Trump is an unqualified blowhard, Pence is a Christian warrior conversion therapy supporting monster. Both are awful and present equal problems for the same sets of people.

An ELE would be pretty close for lots of people, but Pence is an improvement over Trump in a few ways.

The reality is, Trump won't stop anything that Congress wants to do, and they are already going to be pushing the same agenda as Pence. At least there would not be a straight up lunatic at the helm

Just to get the thread back on track, here are some hilarious quotes from Jon Voight at the Lincoln Memorial this afternoon.

http://variety.com/2017/biz/news/ina...ne-1201964227/

Quote:
“We have all been witness to a very grueling year and half for the president elect,” Voight said at the outset. He added that “we all wondered if God could reverse the barrage of negative lies” made about Trump during the campaign.

“He certainly didn’t need this job, and yes, God answered all of our prayers, because here it is. We will be part of history. All of us,” Voight told the crowd, who stretched down the National Mall along the reflecting pool toward the Washington Monument.

He referred to the monument behind him and said that Lincoln would be smiling at the moment, knowing “America will be saved by an honest and good man who will work for all the people.”

Turning every single issue into a discussion of semantics is ridiculous. It is obvious what the issue is and who it affects. Move on and discuss the f'n issue, not the definition of a word someone poorly used in framing the issue.

That is proof that not a single punch was pulled during the filming of The Champ.
