You can call me a troll, but the facts back me up.
Here's a nice advanced stat:

SPORTLOGiQ ‏
Matthews leads the @MapleLeafs for Oz scoring chance generating plays with 7.9 per 20 mins. Good enough for 5th overall in the NHL!

Auston Matthews is a complete 200 ft player at 19. Terrific offensively, defensively, and amazing possession player.

Remember last season where people kissed Jack Eichel's butt? The Leafs 3rd highest scoring rookie forward(Nylander) is on pace to statistically beat Eichel's rookie numbers from last season. A big reason Toronto has far surpassed Buffalo in the rebuild.

But continue to think Matthews is not a true franchise changer. The guy impacts every aspect of the game. Patrick Laine has an amazing shot and, well that's it.

He's a terrific player. Amazing even. Franchise changing.

We've also heard that the Leafs were the best from you while they were the worst. You're credibility is awful

People were kissing Eichel's butt? I haven't really heard much about him at all since his draft. His World Cup was pretty meh IIRC.

Is anyone suggesting Matthews is not good?

I thought this thread was about Tkachuk.

I said in the summer Brian Elliott was a product of Ken Hitchcock and would be terrible. I said 2 summers ago on this board Dougie Hamilton was a steal and will be a true #1 D-Man. My track record with predictions is very good on here.

I never said Toronto was "The Best". Never said that on this board once.

It was, but now it's about Auston Matthews, Jack Eichel, Artemi Panarin, Brian Elliott, and Dougie Hamilton

You know, just your standard 2017 Calder Trophy discussion.

Matthews highlight reel - "forehand, backhand and he scooooooooores.
Tkatchuk highlight reel - "then the kid skates away with his stick, ha ha ha ha ha"

Love his impact on the Flames! He'll be leading this team in a few years.

Both are equally apt, now that I think about it.

Huge drop off there.

Matthews is a franchise changer because Toronto is a garbage franchise. That's not saying he isn't good, but perspective is required.
Just to add, Matthews now leads the ENTIRE NHL in ES goals. More than Crosby. And you took offense to me saying he's a franchise changer and thought I was overrating him.

Patrick Laine isn't scoring that many 5 on 5.

You're more than welcome to list my bad predictions.

And please no garbage made up ones like I predicted the Leafs would win the cup...

You got all that from me pointing out that you were wrong about Panarin's stats?

I know you're in it for the attention, but that's a reach.

If you look at all numbers, Matthews is having a much better season.

Start a thread on Matthews then. Or go join your kind at HFBoards and fawn over Auston the Holy Saviour without having to subject us non-Leafs fans to your blathering.
