CNN contributor Marc Lamont Hill on Monday night criticized prominent African Americans like Steve Harvey, Kanye West, and Ray Lewis for meeting with President-elect Donald Trump, calling them “mediocre negroes” who are being exploited.
I am hoping somebody can heckle him so badly that he can't help to throw a tantrum. Still can't believe this guy is going to be president.
The only good thing that might come out of this is somebody finally dealing with North Korea.
At this point why does anyone really need to deal with North Korea. I mean really, they have Nukes, but they know if they launch them its the end for them at this point, and its probably China that administers the sweet release of death.
Leave North Korea in Isolation for another 10 years and the famine will really take hold and they'll be begging for Americanization and McDonalds.

Did Kanye go into super power rage mode when he was referred to as mediocre?
And Ray Lewis is hardly Mediocre, beyond his exploits on the field, he killed a guy.
Is it something in the water? Its almost like everything is coming up stupid lately.
Yeah.
Jim Brown is a Trump supporter too, is he mediocre? This is a slippery slope. Blacks want their celebs to have more influence but only the celebs deemed on the proper side. It's very divisive politics.

Jim Brown voted for Hillary, but is prepared to give Trump a chance.
JIM BROWN: He won, in my opinion, fair and square, and I'm going to support him as president of the United States...
When you win against all odds and you defeat those who are against you -- and I was for Hillary so I'm one of those who Mr. Trump defeated -- but he is the president-elect of the United States, I'm a citizen. I'm not asking him to do everything. I'm going to pitch in and do some of the things that I can do with the like-minded people that I represent.

leaving aside the mediocre comment, why shouldn't they meet with Trump?
He's going to be the president. You'd think that african americans would be happy that prominent members of the community are meeting with the trump team.
would they be happier if the trump administration met with no black people? and why not celebs? they often come from tough backgrounds and despite being successful, can relate to what people are going through now and can do a better job communicating and helping the people than some lifetime political or religious hack.
love to see him tell jim brown to his face that he's a puppet for the white man.
don't care of one likes or hates him. I want to see a parade of african americans of all types get involved with the trump administration. make change happen from within the power structure.

You should read letter from a Birmingham jail to understand.

There's some beautiful poetic justice that Jones vs. Clinton (in which Jones was represented by Kellyanne Conway's husband), sets the precedent for the office of the presidency not being a shield against civil lawsuits from individuals.
Interesting that she's willing to dismiss all charges with no monetary compensation if Trump retracts his statements about her and admits that Summer's account is true.
Trump now saying that his historically low approval ratings are fake news.

The same people who did the phony election polls, and were so wrong, are now doing approval rating polls. They are rigged just like before.
And of course he's still having a hissy fit about John Lewis.

John Lewis said about my inauguration, "It will be the first one that I've missed." WRONG (or lie)! He boycotted Bush 43 also because he...

"thought it would be hypocritical to attend Bush's swearing-in....he doesn't believe Bush is the true elected president." Sound familiar! WP

Well I think context is important in that comment. Ethnic groups have the right to talk about and describe members of their own group in ways that are not appropriate for outside ethnic groups to use. And while wording is harsh and uncomfortable, the point is valid. Trump's propping up African American celebrities and athletes to discuss policy around that group of people instead of actual policy makers and politicians that could challenge him.
Just like the entire election, it's a bunch of smoke and mirrors.

More than 18 million Americans receive water contaminated by lead. Yes, there's something in the water. Lead.
Had Hillary Clinton said her first 100 days would be spent declaring a national emergency and using whatever federal funds were necessary to fix the Lead. In. The. Goddamn. Drinking. Water. She would have won.
