rightly so. Karius is terrible.

Don't like Darmian as LB, but other than that, I think that's Uniteds best XI at the moment. At home, against a weakened Liverpool lineup. No excuses.

EDIT: wow that Matip thing is unbelievable. Liverpool got screwed here big time.

Kinda looked like Pogba was trying to dab when he gave up that penalty.

Jeez Pogba. Might be wise to swap him for Mata at half.

Pogba tries to remove Henderson's head. He's lucky that wasn't spotted.

Mignolet has been very good so far. Pogba has been shocking.

United missed a couple of quality chances, as always - thing is you don't get many of those against Liverpool. Simply have to take these chances, otherwise a single brainfart means disaster. And yeah, I'm looking at you, Pogba. Better get your #### together in the second half.

Well, pretty entertaining game in the end. Both sides had chances to win it.

The Matip situation is BS. He's not being allowed to play due to a lack of clarity of whether he's obligated to be at AFCON, despite already having retired from international football.
People are worried he got pressured to retire by Liverpool

Hes only 25

I dont and hope that isnt the case here but its something I think fifa need to look into especially with players who dont play for the big countries and are more likely to have it happen

His retirement happened before he moved to Liverpool.

Could Pogba have honestly picked a worse game to debut his emoji before? Dreadful performance. Goal was definitely offside, but Liverpool should have covered better in the box there.

It was quite a sight to see him play that poorly and at the same time have his name and emoji all over the boards though.

Man U supporters can't be thrilled with this season though. They've spent an insane amount of money, brought in the special one and they're a dozen points off the pace and 5 points out of CL at this point. Expectations must have been higher.

Yeah, I remember that being a big reason they were interested in him because they wouldnt lose him to the ACN.

Whatever issues he has, he has them with Cameroon and they should have been dealt with ages ago.

As for the game, it was entertaining, a fair result, both sides had lots of chances to win it, I'm okay with the result when you look at the players Liverpool were missing.

I don't see anywhere any mention that he has retired from international football. Either from him or from Liverpool FC. No doubt that he has made himself unavailable for the ACN but that is a long way from and very different to an announced retirement.

Nothing. In fact, one would think any confusion over him could be cleared up by a simple statement from him stating that he has retired from International football. Yes?

Same thing. Just retire. He's trying to hold the national association to ransom and they're biting back.
