Change the record buddy!!!! It is getting real tiresome!

Ok, what is your solution then? Who do we have that can step into the top 4 on D who is an upgrade on Wideman?

Our fourth D is a problem but Wideman still looks better to me than our other options.

I wouldn't mind seeing Kulak in for Wideman and Putting Engllend with Brodie. Having Engellend there frees up Brodie to do his thing rather than covering for Wideman.
Kulak moves his feet well and has a good pass. I don't see why he and Jyrki can't be a bottom pairing.

Is Engelland really better than Wideman?

Gio Brodie Hamilton > Engelland > Kulak Wideman Joki
That's generally how I see the tiers of our defence. Though you could easily just say:
Gio Brodie Hamilton >>>>>>>>>>>>> etc

Debatable, but irrelevant IMO.
I think Engelland makes a better partner for Brodie because he is a better skater and is more physical.
He also plays a more conservative game. Brodie is a risk-taker, and needs a partner that can cover for him. Wideman gets caught up himself and just isn't very good at covering for Brodie IMO.
Engelland's game matches better with Brodie.

The problem with putting Engelland with Brodie is that you are left with Jokipakka-Wideman. And that is just not a good idea.
Kulak-Wideman is a better fit.

It would sure be poetic if Elliott were to turn in a stellar performance tonight in the same building that got him off to such a terrible start to the season.
It would be a great way to launch the second half of the season for him.

Go Flames Go. I've officially jumped on the bandwagon of the team representing this amazing city.
The Oilers are an embarrassment to hockey. Hope the Flames douse em tonight.
