I love that he is a Flame. What a sh** disturber. Ahahaaa I can't believe he did that.

With Brouwer’s imminent return, looks like #Flames are reuniting Monahan with Brouwer and Versteeg. Gaudreau with Bennett and Chiasson.
#Flames lines at practice:
Tkachuk-Backlund-Frolik
Gaudreau-Bennett-Chiasson
Versteeg-Monahan-Brouwer
Bouma-Stajan-Hathaway
I'd rather see Gaudreau-Bennett-Brouwer and Versteeg-Monahan-Chiasson. Bennett and Brouwer looked great in pre-season together.
But I'm just happy they are breaking Johnny and Moneyhands up. Seems to me that Sean has been dragging Johnny down of late. Really hope he finds his game and the back of the net soon.

Oilers suck.

In football (soccer), I believe when a team fields an inelegible player, they forfeit the match. These two points should have been ours from the beginning
If hockey and soccer were complete opposites in every way I'd be okay with it.

So is that exclusively Deboer's fault, or is some pencil pushing assistant responsible for submitting the form and checking it over?
It was on purpose. Injury happened after the lineups were submitted and they took a chance that nobody would notice and even if they did, nothing happens so worth the risk.
I realize this is an NHL thing, but accident or not, how is playing with an ineligible player not a penalty on top of not getting to use the player.
No incentive for the Sharks not to try and pull a fast one if the only consequence is that at some point someone might notice and they lose a player they wouldn't have had anyway.

And what if said player scores a goal? Does it get disallowed?
Maybe the guy was such a plug that they were willing to take that risk...
Not to mention, why does the Flames noticing even matter. What other penalty or infraction is reliant on the opposition noticing? It's only offside if the Flames notice and someone raises their arm like a soccer player, it's only high sticking if the Flames coaches yell for it before the play stops.
So dumb

People also talk about the Tkachuk celly -- it's clear he thought he tipped it himself based on his reaction (whether he did is another question) -- but what about Backlund's celly. The jump/bear hug into Dougie -- it was like they scored an OT series winning goal, not a regular season game in mid-January. Love the intensity.
Yup, I love that kind of emotion any time. Lots of people despise it though, based on comments when OV does the same thing. Never understood why.

I think that's the "If a tree falls in the forest" rule.
