Frustrating period. Can't tell if the Jets are playing well defensively or if the Flames are just slow and sloppy.
I think it's a bit of both. The Flames' passing seems really off tonight, and they've been sloppy in the offensive zone. Overall they've played a solid game so far, but you just get the feeling it's one of those nights where they're gonna piss away 2 points, even though they've been the better team.
Really hope they can crank up the energy in the 3rd and pressure the Jets a bit more. Hopefully with some luck we can bank one in off somebody's arse or something and tie this up.

Usually, that's code for "I'm too lazy to think further than one perspective."
So my one perspective that Wideman is terrible and wouldn't be on 95% of NHL teams top 4 is incorrect? Or the fact that this team was playing much better hockey when Monahan was with Versteeg and Johnny with Bennett? Can you explain how this is me being lazy?
Just turned on the game, I'm sure it has been said by someone, but it is so disappointing to see the Jets in their retro whites and we're wearing out God awful home reds.

Why not our retros? Boo
Jets decided to use those Jerseys today, Flames flew to Winnipeg yesterday didn't pack those jerseys
I agree with Benheho, Wideman is one of the worst 5 dmen in the league. He is extremely slow, has no mobility, his shot is almost alway wide and often hits a forward and provides the opposition with a break away. He take many stupid penalties as he is often too slow to get the puck out of the Flames zone before they get hemmed in. He should be shipped to the farm to help the young ones, and we should keep both Kulak and Wutherspoon up for rest of the year. They can't make more mistakes than Wideman and will be much better than him by the end of the season.

I think Benihana said worst 3, so you guys have to "agree to disagree".

Off the top of my head, Wideman is on Vancouver, Edmonton. Add Calgary and you are past 95%. That's without even thinking hard.

Shouldn't he be at least a minus player if he's one of the worst 5 d-men in the league? Of course, he also has 12 points you need to look past as well to make your assertion and averages 21 minutes of ice.

How much of a fan are you?
Do you not know Wideman has a NMC, and, do you not know because he has this NMC he can't be moved to the farm unless he explicitly agrees to it?

LOL. Wideman has gotten shots through in the last 3 games. He is praised by Hrudey for his breakout passes.
