Big saves for the good guys
Converted chances
Decent hitting

I'll take that period every time

Yeah, I get what you're saying and I also hate the unwritten 'code' when it comes to how/when they call penalties, I was just saying that last one was a stick around the head so it wasn't too shady. We'll see how they 'manage' the game from here on out.

Meh, I think he's played enough "okay" hockey this season that I'm starting to think we may actually get something for him at the deadline. GM's of contending/playoff teams get stupid in February and I could see us coming away with a third, even a second in a perfect world if he's putting up points at the time.

Flames up 2-0, even with the Dennis handicap. Or handicapped Dennis. Or whatever the hell he is.
Looking good so far.

Awesome period by the good guys. A little sloppy to start, but they eventually woke up. Johnson looks great.

Without a doubt. I honestly think they're in the same class as the Hawks, Bruins, Red Wings, and Rangers jerseys. Our current set is in the same class as Colorado and Winnipeg. No good.

Hopefully the second period we clean it up a bit, the score is flattering. Too soft on the puck and not good decisions and passes.

Why would the Flames be out of the playoff race in February?? If not, it would be stupid as hell to trade Wideman for a third.

Chad Johnson made more saves in that period than Elliott did all game last night.

Hopefully (knock on wood) this the start of Johnson regaining some semblance of his previous form.

I just feel a lot less nervous with him in between the pipes. Elliott seems to have a guaranteed flubber or two even in games that he's decent in.

That was an awesome period to watch live. Back to back action, and I'm sitting next to two annoyed Canucks fans!

Come on. This was one of the best 1st periods the Flames have played in the past 24 hours.

Nice. I love sitting by Canucks fans. Have they thrown their hands up in disbelief yet? II love that. 'm pretty sure that move comes on a card with every Canucks or Canadiens jersey sold

two thumbs down for this post.

One for the whipping boy comment and another for using people with disability as a form of insult.

I don't care if you guys don't like him or you think he's a bad hockey player or whatever, but lets at least keep it civil and respectful. No room in here for throwing shade like that.
