the goals are not really his fault but man i do not have any confidence in brian elliot

sure he's been the goalie in games the flames have won but he's always good for at least one softie and hes shaky

its a shame too cuz he was making all kinds of great plays like that beautiful pokecheck

All started with Gaudreau's stupid pass back though. Take it to the net dude. Stupid to look for the point guy when there's opposing players behind him. Flames dominant possessionally, could be up, but the top players are being too pretty.

He has yet to be the main reason weve won a game all season

At least be physical in the third. We are so soft it's painful. And Miller, bite me.

I'd say Elliott was too deep there, though he has to play a little deeper on the PK. He had just made a terrific save by being deep for the pass across. He also made a hell of a poke check earlier.

Miller is playing really well, though. Sometimes you lose the goaltending battle without being bad.

That first goal was rough. Very rough.

Another game where Elliott is just okay. Not being tested much at all though. It seems that when the Canucks are getting opportunities, they are grade A chances due to defensive breakdowns like on the 2nd and 3rd goals.

The team is playing bad.

Gaudreau makes that pass 99% of the time. Surprised so many are so hard on him like they've never watched him play. He makes great passes all the time and sometimes they get turned over. Every elite passer in the league makes those same turnovers.

There is a reason the turnover leaders are usually high profile elite players.

We don't win those if he isn't really good on ten bell chances.

I feel like we could use a callup to inject a little life into this group. A forward or a defenseman. I wonder if they'd give Kylington a look soon?

Elliott is playing way too deep in his net.. signs of a goalie lacking confidence.

Granlund probably had half a net to look at.

However, from a glass half full point of view, we have had excellent scoring chances. Just can't solve Miller.

Hope not. If his stint at the WJC proved anything it's that he is far from ready for NHL action.

You clearly like to argue for argument's sake.

Defensemen take time to develop. That's the point. I gave 3 examples.

The best you can do, in a lame attempt to not acknowledge a point, is move the goalposts and claim that Giordano's story is unique. Of course it is. EVERY person's story is unique.

That doesn't change the point at all.
