Can we stop saying Giordano was 23 and in the KHl when comparing other defenseman?
Giordano is a one in a million story. Wotherspoon isn't going to follow the path of Giordano.

He has been consistently bad to mediocre over the last 3-4 games. It was his fumble that led eventually to the goal that made it 1-0 last game against them, the Christmas game. No wonder he's stapled to the bench.

23 or not, feathering a pass up the middle of your own zone from behind the goal line is going to get you an extended trip on the pine.

I'd say we need to get some higher quality shots.
Too many poor angle long distance shots at net with no net front presence.
Either generate first shot scoring chances, or crash the net on garbage shots.
