Downhill? Wow, not in my mind. You should go rent seasons 3-5 and catch up before the new season starts!

The only first full season I've ever seen was last year, and I was hooked. Only about one "bad" episode in the entire 24 episode season. If season 5 was downhill I can't imagine how amazing the first two seasons were.

The past season was horrible, and the one before that... my expectations are really low for this show.
Season's 1-3 were really good though.
edit: Just watched the trailer, this season looks to be more exciting but really seems like the same old ****. Of course i'll watch every episode
LOST is my new favorite show trumping 24 because something crazy/different happens every show and so far every season has been totally different then the one before it.

season three was awful
They're all awful but it just got unbearable in season three. I haven't watched it since.

So you watched 48 episodes of a show thinking it was awful, and it was only until it was unbearable that you turned it off?
Someone needs a hobby.

The first two seasons were the best. I thought the third season was terrible... the fourth was alright.
I thought last year was a big step in the right direction though....

The First 4 episodes last year were the best 4 hours of Television I've ever watched.

I have not seen season 5 yet, but I have seen 1-4. 24 could be the best show on TV. When season 5 comes out this winter I am going to try to do all 24 shows in one sitting.
I love the plot twists, and I love the fact that there is something happening every show.
I do agree that the first two seasons were the best though. I was not a fan of season 4. Too many new characters.

Hard to say, the entire show has just felt too political and predictable since season 3.
Just my opinion...

I get the feeling that 24 is on the way to becoming one of those things that it is 'cool' to dislike.
Kinda like Nickelback and Titanic.

I like the show, but it just doesn't have "it" anymore.

I can't watch the trailer.
It's like snooping for Christmas gifts.

The difference is 24 is still awesome, and Nickleback has always been terrible.

For you maybe. For a while there, they were the rage (and I'm not talking about these forums, just in general) and now everybody hates them. Same thing with Creed. People follow trends they interpret as being cool to make themselves feel good.
It's kind of the same thing as bandwagonning sports fans. It's not cool to be a Cleveland Browns fan, but it sure is cool to be a Patriots fan. (again, not talking about anyone here...this is all from meeting people in person.)
