looks the same as version1... but some minor tweaks I guess. I wonder why they called it version 2 and not just version1.9 or whatever they were up to

man, it is using way less memory for me than 1.5. And a good bit snappier (especially on javascript-heavy sites).
phaneuf_train - Brief Firefox scoop . I use it mainly because I'm multiplatform, and like to use the same browser everywhere. Also, the addons make it far and away better than any other browser (adblock plus + filterset.g, bugmenot... and possibly the greatest thing ever in Greasemonkey ). I really can't deal with the web anymore without those little "fixes" that make it palatable for me, now that I'm so used to them.

it does seem quicker. I also downloaded the addon RSS Ticker and was wondering if anyone knows of an RSS feed that just gives the scores. I checked Yahoo, ESPN, etc and they have feeds of headlines but not scores. I think this would be awesome, having a ticker on my computer just in the bottom of the browser. It just shows up under the status bar.

hmm, the mail icon is gone now from the navigation bar. anyway to get that back? seems silly that they would take that out for no particular reason

Does anyone find it slower than the previous version? Because I do.
Just starting a fresh browser takes 3-5 seconds longer.

The tab feature which IE has now copied is a great feature as is the ability to use so many add-ons.

Not at all... seems "snappier" here too, the latency of clicking on links seems to be much quicker.

Doesn't seem much different from a functionality point of view though. A few of my add on extensions now seem to be standard though....

FF 2.0 has a nice feature that you may not notice right away. But when you enter text in a text area box (such as making a post on-line), FF will parse the text and let you know if you have made any spelling mistakes by underlining it with a red line.If you right click on the underlined word it will provide you with suggestions.
Also with FF, as you type in the Search Bar (top right), it will provide you with a list of suggestions.

I'm not loving the scrolling tabs feature, I'd rather have them all in a big bunch where I can see/access them with a single click. The spell check is ok, nothing revolutionary. And I havn't found a way to get your mail icon back, although I'm sure that it'll be pretty simple. Outside of the lower RAM usage and slightly spiffier graphics I'm not too impressed. Still beats IE though.
