Hey TSN I want to watch the Sugar Bowl...maybe 4 channels with the same hockey game on is a bit much, no?
Absolutely pissed about this as well. The Rose Bowl was a fantastic game to watch but I ended up not being able to see my Sooners play at all last night (had hockey practice later and the game had not switched to the Sugar Bowl yet). TSN's college football coverage was pathetic this year, but it really grinds my gears (may post there as well) that the major networks don't carry the games any more and we have to rely on the sports stations to get the games and in Canada at least they don't carry many of the games even at that.
Rose Bowl was absolutely a thrill to watch however. And nice to see the Sooners come through.
The Rose Bowl was exciting....and nearly 5 hours long too. I know you gotta deal with like 30-40 minute halftimes, but they still gotta find a way to keep games under 4 hours.

In case anyone missed it Musberger made an ass of himself last night praising Oklahoma POS scumbag RB Joe Mixon. It was about as awkward as when Al Michaels proved he's a POS himself when he defended the NFL and Roger Goodell over the Ray Rice scandal.
I'm too lazy to link to each clip but the article has them. Basically he talked about what a great guy he was then later defended his comments by getting all worked up at people who don't realize that Mixon apologized! For beating up a woman and that means he's all good now.
Tyreek Hill says see you in the NFL kid. Ray Rice isn't out of the NFL because of what he did, lord knows guys have done worse and still gotten a gig. He's out of the NFL because he was a near 30 year old RB coming off averaging less than 3 YPC across a full season of starting. Mixon showed a lot last night, more than enough for someone to take a 5th round flier on him. And if he does like Hill is doing and puts up numbers, no one cares anymore.

The controversy isn't about whether or not he'll make the NFL. Everyone knows that pretty much every NCAA team or NFL team would employee serial rapists and murderers if it won them more games.
What's the issue here is that a broadcaster shouldn't be talking about what a great human being he is and begging and pleading for people to give him a chance in the NFL despite his propensity for beating up women. It's totally classless and inappropriate.
The problem is Brent isn't a journalist, he's a broadcast partner. And he's been on the decline for a while. It was pathetic obviously, but not unexpected I would hope. He's allowed to think what he wants, and he's getting blasted for it. Maybe he gets a forced retire here, who knows?

The average college game was 3.5 hours this year. The NC is scheduled for 4 hours. I'd be surprised if they finish in the next 30 mins, so likely to be over 4 hours.
