For what it's worse I am going to have a bet on the game anyway(once odds are released, probably an hour), as when they go up Sweden will most likely be overs. This generally happens as a result of Canadian fans betting with their hearts. I suspect you will see the line decrease within 2-3 hours after it goes up.
Suggested bet $200 if line is > +150.

slow down and read...I said wanna bet after you said Canada would get pumped
do you really not realize how stupid it is to make a statement like that and then expect ME to give up goals. Also, there are things to bet besides money
Avatar bet? again YOU are giving up goals since you think "they are gonna get pumped" close loss for Canada means you were WRONG!

Yeah, we're not betting on money on here. Not happening.
Changing an avatar or something would work.

Please calm down, I have said nothing silly here. I posted an opinion, you asked for a wager, I enquired as to reasonable odds. When you mentioned my commentary around Canada being potentially pumped I was happy to realign the wager to accommodate this. As I said, happy to give Canada +2 goal headstart for +600(6/1 or 7:1) if Sweden wins.
Not interested in avatar bet. Don't get the butthurt to be honest about a simple comment. I like Canada. I hope they win. Don't get so offended by a bloody forum opinion and if you suggest a bet, man up and go through with it.

not offended, just very unlikely they are gonna get pumped...and thought it was pretty hilarious you wanted me to give up goals after saying that (look I wasnt the only one) anyway we are not betting money on CP. Bragging rights it is. Should canada lose by 3 or 4 I guess you can say tolda so. Anything closer and well...

You don't throw out a statement like 'they're gonna get pumped', get challenged on it to a bet, and then sure and ask for odds.
You just don't.

But he did, and yet here we are, all witnesses to this groundbreaking moment in the history of internet posting.

Yeah, you do, but whatever. I have these bets with my mates all the time. If we were to do it 1:1, Dino could literally take my bet, then lay the amount on Sweden and be guaranteed to make a profit. Why would anyone do that? Genuinely not rocket science, just dealing with people who have no experience in betting.
I never asked you to "give up goals" either, Dino. I suggested that if it was to be a non-handicapped bet then I would be willing to take it on at worse than booking odds. If you wanted to do the 'pumped' bet(suggested +2, so they would have to win by 3), then we could realign this.
Anyway...who cares, eh? Always love when people say "wanna bet on it" then tuck when someone calls them on it.

I think defining what constitutes 'getting pumped' would be the first thing to do.

bet is not necessary at this point...we all know what was said. Guy will either be mocked or be gloating next game
Back to the game I thought Canada played well and were incredibly unlucky it was so close...multiple posts and near misses not to mention one of their goals is off a referee who is standing in front of the net for some reason.
tougher test up next but that is how she goes in these knock out games, first one is usually a bit of a scare

back to the game... did Strome even play? That guy is useless. If not for PP time, he would be completely invisible in this tournament.

Yeah, biggest disappointments for me so far (albeit small sample size) are Strome and Dubois, even if he was better tonight.
Most impressive so far are Barzal and Chabot. And Dube has been good as well.

I definitely agree with the Strome/Monahan comparison, especially in today's game. Strome was just sort of there, wasn't that great, wasn't that bad, much like Monahan when he's not scoring. I've been really surprised with Strome's performance this year after he was probably Canada's best player last year.
Also, I think Dube is sort of the 3rd wheel on the Cirelli line but he's done his job well and he's filled a valuable role on this team. His forechecking and puck retrievals were superb today but if he had a little more finish or if he had a little more creativity offensively he could have made a bunch more scoring chances. He had the one great pass to Chabot in the dying seconds of the 3rd and I'd like to see more, but he's an 18 yo and I imagine that the coach is telling him to focus on making the safe plays. I'm quite excited to see him there next year, hopefully Phillips accompanies him.
Kylington was a monster today, I don't know how much better he could have been. What's crazy is that Andersson has been quietly been keeping up with him in the A this season. I'm so excited for those two.

It was literally a valueless conversation to start, thus my extremely low value contribution was still an improvement.
