Kylington finally on the ice for an even strength goal. Had nothing to do with it though, naturally. 5-0

Grundstrom reminds me a lot of Tkachuk. Very chippy, very skilled. Also, I hope Tim Soderlind gets some late round draft attention from the Flames. Small but man do his feet move quick.

Now it seems more like a Swedish playoff game.

Glad Parsons is starting, played in a much tougher game vs Russia and made some huge saves, where as I thought Woll played good but didn't have to do nearly as much. Think the US staff knows if they need a big save Parsons is their guy.

I don't think so. The puck touched three guys after Kylington on that goal. Though he was a big reason the Slovak PK broke down.

I'm pretty sure he got the 2nd assist. I'm also pretty sure his CF% was >85% this game, in fact I'd probably bet that he had more individual corsis for than total corsis against. It was his best game of the tournament by far. Without being too presumptuous I'd love to see what he can do against Canada.

Fox with his first notable mistake of the tournament but Parsons bailed him out. Already a great teammate

Though I like what I've seen of Parsons, I would have liked the Flames to have taken Grundström at that pick. Sucks that Leafs snagged him right after.

If Parsons pans out he's much more important to the Flames... Sorry

And everyone on team Sweden looks like world beaters right now, haven't played a good team yet. Will get a much better inclination on how good they are when the face the big boys.

True, but I've never been a fan of taking goalies in the first two rounds. Too often they don't pan out.
Grundström is having one hell of a season.

Ya but this team need competition in goal and look at the depth before drafting Parsons. Rittich seems like a great signing and Gillies is still a work in progress and after that we are very thin. Parsons was needed and will compete with Gillies as our top goalie prospect.

I also think Dube would be a high end player on the majority of other teams in the tournament and hasn't really been able to show his full skill set. I've seen him play for Kelowna multiple times and he is much more skilled and way more of a 4th line energy player that Canada is using him. Hell hes been more impressive than Dubois who gets all the PP time.

Kylington led Sweden in ice-time again, playing 19:44 minutes. Credited with 2 assists.
Karnaukhov (1 goal) played 15:48 minutes (7th among RUS forwards).

Parsons is looking solid. I don't really like goalie picks in the early rounds and I was afraid that playing for a great OHL team might have skewed his numbers, but he seems like a great prospect. Really excited to have him in the prospect pool.

Hishier beats Parsons on the PP with a world class release after walking McAvoy. Making a killer case that he will be first overall.
