Why do they have to kick the extra point?
Big choke by the Skins but props to the Giants for playing hard in a meaningless game.

So next weekend, I would imagine the order will be...
Raiders-Texans Sat 2:30
Packers-Giants/Seahawks Sat 6:00
Dolphins-Steelers Sun 11:00
Lions-Giants/Seahawks Sun 2:30

So loser tonight goes to Seattle while the winner gets the Giants.
I will take the packers at home over the Giants while going to Seattle is not appealing at all.
Come on you Packer guys!!

Gotta hope Green Bay takes it just for the chance of the game happening in the snow/cold.

Also the Patriots basically have a bye right to the AFC title game. Belichick should really test his genius and start Garoppolo against the Dolphins/Raiders/Texans.

What an ugly game against the Eagles. I knew Elliott sitting would make it tough but as soon as Sanchez (go away, Mark) came in, it was clearly over.
Would rather head into the playoffs with momentum rather than losing 2 of the last 4, but oh well

On second thought I get it now. Points differential is the 9th playoff tie breaker so there is a very obscure possibility a team could miss the playoffs because they were not allowed to kick an extra point.

Goodal should backdate one of Roethlisbergers suspensions to make it a full quartet of AFC backups. New England pretty much gets a two week bye to the AFC Championship game.
NFC side looks much more interesting.

So officially it's OAK/HOU and DET/SEA Saturday, MIA/PIT and NYG/GB Sunday. And just to further the "Giants are going to win the SB because they're the Giants" narrative, they of course beat the Packers on both Super Bowl runs.

Yeah basically a cake walk for Patriots although I will give Chiefs/ Steelers a punchers chance. Everyone else on AFC side has zero chance and would lose by 2 touchdowns plus.
NFC more wide open.

Did you see the Raiders yesterday? I've seen some really bad post-2002 Raiders teams but that was arguably the worst performance from the team in 14 years. Over those bad years the only Raiders to make the pro bowl was the punter, kicker or fullback but this team had 7 pro bowlers and less one of them they folded like a cheap shirt and quit. The OL and DL got manhandled by a Broncos team that had nothing to play for. Without a doubt one of the all time lows of the organization. I don't think they could beat the Browns right now so I expect Osweiller to have a 300+ yard day and a score similar to the Broncos beatdown yesterday as the Raiders have mailed it in. I feel bad for the fans of playoff football that they have to actually see this game as it's going to be ugly.

Well McGloin didn't make it out of the first half before he was injured but I badly misjudged how the team would handle things without Carr. Carr got sacked only 16 times all season and McGloin was taking a beating as Donald Penn went from pro bowl LT to turnstile. There is no way to explain how a team with 6 pro bowlers in their lineup could be so dominated outside of the fact they picked up their ball and went home. Plenty of teams have still managed to put up a fight without their starting QB but that was one of the few times you will see a collective quit by an entire roster. I'm not kidding when I say a spot player Brynden Trawick was their best player by far.
Hard to predict that level of quit but now that I've seen it I have to agree with those that said the Raiders have no chance of beating anyone in the playoffs. I was wrong.

All I know is Texans-Raiders has a very good chance to be the lowest rated playoff game in a very long time. That game looks dreadful as a preseason game let alone a playoff game. I know I won't be watching until at least the 4th quarter so we know there's something worth watching, unless it somehow breaks out into a 49-45 game. More than likely it'll be a 10-6 game though.

There is a reason he is a back up QB...regardless of how he may have looked at times. When he left he had thrown for 20 yards in almost 30 minutes of football and his team was down 17.
Maybe the Raiders "quit", I have no idea. I find it hard to believe with a Jack Del Rio team however. I do think that things have come "easy" to the club as of late and that may have played into preperation during the week. Who knows.
I do think that the Raiders are a far more complete club than Houston however, and that should show up on Saturday. Past that though, niether club looks to have a hope.

The Raiders are far more complete than Houston? Really? If you put Alex Smith on Houston they'd be the #2 seed right now. If you put Tom Brady on Houston they might be 15-1. Houston is a better team than the Raiders pretty much across the board. They've just had high school level QB play the last 3 years....which includes all winning records and two division titles. Houston is a good QB away from being SB contenders. Carr was pretty much the primary reason anyone was scared of the Raiders. Raiders are improving, but still have work to do especially on defense. Houston literally needs one player.
