If Adidas wants to put their corporate whoring/branding on practice jerseys, go nuts. Leave the idiotic three stripes off the real things though.

Adidas is probably second only to Coke on Corporate branding and they've become corporate giants because of it. Somehow I doubt the NHL is going to get a free pass.

Thats like asking them not to put their logo on their products. Thats going to be a hard 'no.'

It's not like it would screw up the Flames current set anyways.

Yeah, but we're rumored to be getting new jerseys with the re-design.

Practice jerseys aren't surprising, but I'd be shocked if that made it to the hands jerseys. I'll bet it's a 3stripe on the collar or something though

I'm not so sure. All the WCoH jerseys had them. And after all were talking about the side seam wich will hardly be visible most if the time. Though I can't see the Habs having vertical stripes.

The biggest concern for me is screened logos and numbers.

What I'm hoping (with the WCoH jerseys) is that the limited use justified allowing Adidas to brand the jerseys. NHL jerseys stand to cause a lot more backlash.

Sublimated logos however... I'm worried too. If it's super subtle like Canada WJC jerseys and reserved for 3rds with most treams... I'll love it. If it's the primary logo and every team is forced to use it all over the place it won't go over well

With the amount of redesigns I've seen in 30 years of being a fan, I can barely bother to make this post saying IDGAF if they have three stripes on them somewhere, somehow. It's their logo. It's gonna be there, and rightfully so.

Adidas brand marketing is three stripe life.. I would be surprised if they had uniforms with no stripes. Like getting a Nike uniform without the swoosh. Not likely

Well the Adidas logo will certainly be on the jersey. But the three stripes as part of the apparel design is different

Adidas didn't force the three stripes onto the CFL uniforms, and if there's any league they would have had leverage over, it's the CFL.
Adidas doesn't even have their logo on the on-court uniforms they supply to the NBA, let alone the stripes.

Most of the NHL jerseys sold starting next season won't even be made by Adidas because the replica jerseys that the vast majority of fans buy will be made by Fanatics.

There's a big difference between putting a logo that takes up a couple of square inches on the jersey and doing a significant redesign to add on a striping pattern that will horribly clash with the traditional stripes on most teams' uniforms.

I honestly think that a great place to put the Adidas triangle logo would be about three inches from the cuff of each sleeve. It would appear right above the cuff of a regular hockey glove, not detract from each jerseys design, still be enough to recognized as the Adidas logo, and be visible in nearly every video highlight.
