If they rely on loser points to get to the playoffs, they should be easy pickings. In straight W/L we're 20-19, they're 19-19. This is after our abysmal start and their creampuff schedule so far.

It's actually OT/SO wins that are more concerning in terms of playoff success. If you rank by regulation wins you have the best predictor of playoff success. Too lazy to find the analysis though.

Can I just complain about the constant fawning on a national broadcast over a franchise and specifically team that has not made the playoffs in 10 years and is only remotely close due to a lottery ball?

I always assume that I've become immune to it, but at specific times it really bugs me.

You should look it up and start a thread over at an Oilers site with that detail in it.

This thread is about how bad the Oilers have been and continue to be. It is typical of an Oiler fan to have to bring up Stanley Cups that were won 27 years ago or something like that to defend their team's awfulness.

but if things are required to be so serious and specific with no conversations in an open forum, perhaps there should be prerequisites to joining and participating here...

As an Oiler fan you shouldn't be shocked when people rebuttal you on a Flames forum nor should you be shocked at the funny stats rival fans find for rival teams... Especially in the E=NG thread 4th edition. It's funny to me too because the constant counter from you guys is those glorious 80's cups, it's like we have our own gigantic power rangers Kevin Lowe built from 7 or 8 sour Oilers fans who are desperate to prove that the McDavid Fever present day Oilers are just as good as the glory days.
