First off I'm getting to a great part in this book I've been reading. I'm looking forward to that and the sequel.

Also looking forward to going skiing with some friends in the New Year.

Excited to hike and bike once summer hits.

Gonna do the Polar Bear Swim, should be fun.

Hoping my back hair stops growing in. Seriously... I'm in my 30s and all of the sudden I have back hair?

Talk about a tough 2016

I’m always amazed these sportscasters and announcers can call the game with McDavid’s **** in their mouths all the time.

Making my final student loan payment.

I'm also hoping to do some overseas/international travel for the first time as an adult. This past year I made a point to take some more time off of work, and it paid off with lowered stress levels. After ten years in the same job, same employer, it's nice that I finally have the stability and client base that I can dictate a little bit more of my schedule.

Our baby immediately and forcefully rejected formula the first time I gave it to her. I was delighted

Finding a new job. There are no guarantees but it seems like 2017 is the year where the Alberta economy will make a positive move and employment rates will pick up. I'm still hopeful that I can pick up some sort of new job in Europe though which would be a nice change of lifestyle and scenery.

Going kayaking, a lot. I leave for a 9 day kayaking trip to Ecuador on Thursday. I also plan to run Overlander Falls this summer for the first time. Hopefully New Zealand in the fall/early winter.

A new city/town. I'm not sure where or when but, I want a change as I have outgrown the town I live in.

With any luck, continued improvement from PTSD symptoms. Improved relationships and a new girlfriend are also goals.

I'm in all likelihood going to be taking on a new job in 2017 which should be interesting. My existing job is pretty awesome, but this new one should be fun too.

I finally installed heat and lighting in my garage, so I'm pretty excited to start woodworking a little more seriously.

The youngest kid starts school this year too, so it should be an interesting year all around.

What kind of woodworking will you do? I want a heated garage or workshop for the same reason.

My big hope for 2017 is that Winds of Winter comes out. A recovering Alberta economy would also be nice.

I'm not sure which one of those is more unlikely.
