Back to being a coordinator for Rex. But really whoever gets him as a coordinator is getting one of the very best coordinators in the NFL. Some guys just aren't meant to be NFL head coaches and are best suited to coordinator roles (see Turner, Norv).

Romeo Crennel and Rod Mainelli are probably the best examples of top flight DC's who can't handle Head Coach duties.

Rex might end up in media though as he'll never have to back up his big mouth. Terrible game manager. Clueless at challenges, unprepared, and makes bad decisions.

Rob Ryan should never work in the NFL again. He lead an awful Saints defence...nepotism lands him in Buffalo where two years in a row a team that was supposed to have better than average defensive talent fails miserably. Bills might be at 10 wins had they fired him in week 2.

This is a bit off topic, does anyone know when playoff tickets will go on sale for the Pats (Divisional game)? I tried to google it, no hits. I emailed the ticket office, they said they didn't have any information. But there is tickets on sale at Stub hub, Seat geek and Vivid seats. Can those be trusted?

Hmmm. Well StubHub refunds if they're fake so I wouldn't be overly concerned about buying from there. But I would assume they've put tickets on sale, the Chiefs for instance already have despite not even being guaranteed hosting a playoff game. So if New England hasn't already, it's gotta be happening shortly.

At this point I'm guessing two home playoff games are part of the Patriots standard issue season ticket package.

Have fun if you end up going. Maybe Matt McGloin will re-enact the tuck rule...

Sounds like today will be Gary Kubiaks last as a NFL head coach. Retiring due to health concerns.

Just listened to Jason LaCanfora on CBS radio about this. Sounded like he needs to step away for the health reason you mentioned.

JLC also stated he believed that Dolphins DC Vance Joseph would be the replacement.

Also stated was that the Rams will try and trade for Sean Payton, Mike McCoy will be let go in San Diego/LA, and that Anthony Lynn will be named permanent HC in Buffalo.

Plus it's pretty much a foregone conclusion that Chip Kelly and Trent Baalke will be let go in San Francisco.

That would make 6 potential job openings, 7 new coaches if a deal is worked out for Payton to end up in LA.

Looks like New England wants to try the 31-0 first half lead against the Dolphins thing again.

I knew this was coming, but one's never really fully prepared for Patriots destruction.

I can't tell if the Dolphins are this terrible or if they are paying vanilla, holding things back for next week.

If Pagano wasn't 100% fired before today he's surely to be 100% fired after the total stinker the Colts are laying in front of their fans today. I never understood why he wasn't fired after last season. It's not like we are talking about a guy that's been a successful head coach before. He's another one of those good coordinators that's not head coach material.

Hoping the Redskins can beat the Giants today, making the Packers-Lions game a win or go home scenario(unless they tie).

Would love the Seahawks to grab that #2 seed but can't see the Falcons losing at home to New Orleans.

This may be the last game he plays in the NFL again.

Dolphins close the gap to 1 TD

Edit. Edelman goes super deep to regain Pats 2 TD margin

Pats join the Dolphins and Colts as only team to go undefeated on the road twice.

This is the 6th #1 AFC seed for NE.
