No, penalties are there to negate an unfair advantage. Clearly the penalty didn't help them that much

I have sometimes thought a penalty shot that's missed should still get a penalty. Make it only 1 minute if you want.

Only on penalties for infractions causing physical harm like high sticking.

The reason for nullifying the delayed penalty when a goal is scored (now, not why it started) is because the penalty likely took away a scoring chance. So if you score anyways, the hook/hold/trip were rendered irrelevant.

I think calling a penalty shot should be made anytime a player has a step on the defense and then it's up to the coach to decide if he takes the shot or the 2min. Far too many PS not called when they should be and then oddly called where the player still gets off a grade-A scoring chance.

Eye dropper of oil of oregano in some OJ? Yay Sportsnet!

Completely agree. Also, penaties should be the full two minutes no matter how many goals are scored.

Sounds more like Greek cooking. Olive oil, oregano and just add some authentic Greek feta and we have a dressing for salad and chicken wings

Eric Francis on our TV's telling us how much smarter than everyone else is again.

10 more years?

Barf.

Though the alternative over on Oilers Circle-Jerk corner isn't really better either.
