Calling out an ignorant opinion on a coaching decision is contributing, whether it upsets you or not. It's on topic.

What's really happening here is you're angry you've been called out on (once again) arriving at a twisted opinion and suggesting a management / coaching decision was made for that exact warped reasoning.

Hardly a dick move. It's a professional choice to keep both goalies in the mix. During Johnsons hot streaks, he mixed Elliott in there too. There's no clear starter, so your starting goalie choice from game to game is more nuanced than simply playing the hot hand.

Also, it's cool to see Engo get the A. He's been a warrior all season and was basically the only one playing well during the Flames brutal stretch.

Man, if he takes Hathaway out of the lineup I'll slam my head on this keyboard. Gently. We have no concussion protocol at work.

I am pretty happy about the Johnson start, before his skid he was one of the best goalies in the league over a month long stretch. The whole time I was thinking we might have landed the new Devan Dubnyk. I'm glad the coaches are going back to him in a big game because it shows the team is still confident that he can be that goalie for us.

Johnson played three games ago. He's gone with Johnson as long as 8 straight games. If he really wants to keep him in the mix he could have gave him one of the games against the Canucks.

Keep in mind there were the few days off over the holidays as well.

Additionally, it was already pointed out Johnson played well in the blow-out win over the Ducks.

Oh look it's the expert analysis again. I'm still wondering how you're not working for an NHL team, or maybe you are...??? Your commentary is truly riveting.

Personally I would have let Elliott play but I wonder if the coaching staff is trying to build or keep up his confidence so they are keeping him away from the tougher match ups. I understand that but some of the games Elliott has played have been pretty tough as there hasn't been much of a flow in them.

No biggie, we need both goalies playing well moving forward.

Ha ha ha. I think it's pretty clear that more than a few posters have issues with the manner to which you post. Pretty lame to try and deflect that on me.

Back on topic, Ducks will be ready to play tonight and will be a bit sour from the beat down they took last time they played in Calgary.

Boys better be ready to go.

3-2 Flames.
