Kylington logging big minutes again today. It feels like he takes every 2nd shift. Fewer turnovers today but still some poor decision making at times. We'll need real patience with him.

Hischier is a stud. Hope he doesn't fall into vancouvers lap.

5-2 for the US. Woll started in net and went 2 GA on 20 shots, Parsons was 1GA on 12 shots Monday. It'll be interesting to see who starts against Russia and then against Canada on Saturday.

How the heck the the US give up two to Slovakia? I don't think Slovakia strung two passes together in the game yesterday.

The Slovaks have a surprisingly deadly power play and the 2nd goal was scored with less than a minute left. The USA didn't dominate like Canada did but the Slovaks could have been shut out quite easily.

I havent been playing close enough attention but seriously? Canada, USA and Russia are all in the same group? Why not just gift the Swedes a bye to the Final?

The groups are based on the placements from last year's tourney.

Group A Group B
1st(Finland) 2nd(Russia)
4th(Sweden) 3rd(USA)
5th(Czech) 6th(Canada)
8th(Denmark) 7th(Slovakia)
9th(Switzerland) promoted from Div I(Latvia)

edit: only Latvia was promoted from Division I, my mistake.
