People should be more angry with Ferland shooting his opportunity like a tyke then being upset about Elliott. But what you gonna do, he struggled mightily to start the year so he's going to be the scape goat every time he's in the net.

Typical result vs the Avs. Derp for 19:45 but they score on the rush on their one chance.

Not full stride in the heat of a game. And a slap shot noless. If every NHLer can do that whenever they want, why aren't they all wiring them in ala 25 year old Jarome Iginla? Give me a break.

The best players in the game don't hit targets the size of dinner plates on a 100% click that they have all day to line up.

Blaming Elliott for that, get bent. Lucky shot that no goaltender is going to stop except maybe by accident.

I really don't think many here have played hockey. A left handed player on the left wing should not be able to score far side and in. It's the easiest shot to save for a goalie when they're in position.

Elliott was so far deep in his net, Landeskog had so much net to shoot at.

He did NOT see half the net. Stop embellishing. Thanks.

No one can aim a slap shot like that.

Maybe Steven Stamkos. And only because he spends all practice at the side of the net getting his one timer down to muscle memory.

To be clear, I am not blaming Moose. That was about as perfectly placed a shot as you'll see. I'm more just pissy cause as soon as Ferland whiffed on the shot, I actually said out loud "Well F&^K. Now they come back and score on us" And the Avs did exactly that. It's decades of watching the Flames and KNOWING which little moments are gonna bite you in the tuckus.

Agree on both points.

Everytime elliott is in net it feels like literally any shot could score. I find myself cheering on every save he makes due to the built up anticipation. Most goalies come out and play that angle better.

That's landeskog's 3rd or 4th goal of the year on pace for under 10.

Yet that shot goes in on NHL goalies all the time, even the best of them. But that's cool, let's downplay anyone else's potential knowledge of the game. "Easiest shot to save for a goalie in the right position" no doubt.

He was well out of the crease.

Even if Elliott scored on his own net that's no excuse to lose to these sad sack Avs.

Jesus, Iginla/Comeau was an awful combination like 5 years ago.

The Avs are a Bizzaro NHL franchise.

Wow. That is how to score on Pickard. Shoot from behind the net where he can't see it. Yahoo!!
