- The Sedins look as disinterested and frustrated as I've seen them in over a decade. Might have just seen the most errant passes from Henrik's stick in his career.
- Burrows is still the heart of the team from an effort perspective, but just doesn't have the skills he used to. Skates miles but not all that effective.
- Eriksson...what a terrible ****ing contract.
- Rodin looked meh. Obviously not up to NHL speed, doesn't look like he'll be much more of a player than Granlund. Definitely not a saviour.
- Bo is by far the best player on the team. Not even close.
- Tanev might be second but really doesn't have much help on the backend. Wheels have fallen off Stecher a bit, which was to be expected.
- Sbisa is still Sbisa. He's better, but still not a very good defenseman.
- Tryamkin needs to unload a clapper every once in a while. Dude just fires Tanev-like muffins at the net.
- Feel for Markstrom. Had a good game but will probably play 3 games in January after losing this one.
Fitting that Tkachuk scored the empty netter, just highlights even further what a mess this team is on and off the ice. What was the final tally, 11 shots?
Edit: Ah, 14. At least they cracked double digits...

So, I'm pretty sure the Flames are 8-0 in the last 8 games that Hathaway has played. (I think that's what I heard on the radio but correct me if I'm wrong...) But if that's the case, clearly he needs to play more games. (This in addition to the fact that I actually think he's more impactful than Bouma these days in general.)

I'm sorry, I support the Calgary Police and the Flames community involvement but that police cowboy hat is brutal. Can't the guys in the room come up with their own thing organically instead of a forced corporate prop? Perhaps a golden mouth guard to chew on or something?

When a team as bad as the Nucks plays 3 games in 4 nights, the outcome should not be in doubt. Good effort by the Flames anyhow and I was glad to see them shrug off the flukey Vancouver goal.
Literally the only negative I have from last night was Wotherspoon's flub that led to Vancouver's fluky goal. But last night was such a game that even if Elliott had gotten the shutout, he still would not have been named a game star. He had to make what... two decent saves? Great effort against a tired, disinterested Canucks team.

One key point is that he actually made those saves. In October/early November this would have been an overtime 3-3 game with those 2 chances in the third. Elliott mad the saves they needed him to and hopefully that helps him build some confidence and 2017 Elliott looks more like last season elliott
