Does any one find it weird in the ATL that Oiler fans are telling the Coyotes to exit the league or saying things like "at this point I don't think AZ is trying to beat teams"?

One whole decade of hockey embarrassment up North and after one good 2.5 months the fans up there have the audacity to talk down to a losing team.

Nah. Oil fans are just salty because the Coyotes are basically their Honda Centre.

Missed the first period tonight, although it sounds like that's a good thing. From what I saw they looked absolutely dominant. That Versteeg goal was a thing of beauty. I always sleep a little better after a Flames win.

Damn, how true.

But you'd be hard pressed to find any Oiler fan that will admit to being less of a worthy NHL team in the modern era than the desert dogs (even though it's true). If the Yotes were as bad as the Oilers in the past decade would they still be around?.. 1st overall picks and the canadian market factor - and fans that are big enough suckers to eat up the hype and keep coming back to a losing product - are what have kept that organization afloat through these atrocious years.

The Yotes have actually won playoff rounds in recent years.. What have the Oilers done?

Another good game from Troy Brouwer and his suitcase full of rawr size truculence testosterone pugnacity belligerence. He doesn't have the hockey IQ or skill of a Michael Ferland but he's once again in his wheelhouse of 20 goals and 40 points,

Sean Monahan is first @NHLFlames player with points in 10 straight team games since K. Huselius in 2006-07 (10-11—21 in 15 GP). @EliasSports
I think it's interesting that this season Monahan had possibly his 10 worst career games in a row and 10 best career games in a row.

It's easy to forget that he's still a developing player, since he came into the league with maturity beyond his years.

Maybe we can package him with Monahan.

Pretty torn on this because you could be right, and Chad looked oddly human in his last two starts.. It's hard to say what the right/best choice is. but I think the plan going in was Elliott, then Chad. I think they're gonna stick to that plan.

Wouldn't be a Flames-Yotes game without a cheap shot by Doan.

The fact he was whiny about getting caught, and the Flames promptly scored the gwg on a beautiful tic-tac-toe was very satisfying.

That fully depends on the talent of their plastic surgeon. I'd love to play pin the tail on the plastic surgery on GirlySports gifs but I'd run out of ribbons.

Well, with children having 3 DNA parents now, I am guessing it is a Dougie Hamilton x Glen Gulutzan x Joe Thornton baby.
