Who's claiming this? all I've seen is wiki releasing emails from the DNC and the CIA saying it was russia who gave them to wikileaks.
The way I see it the DNC should have protected their dumb emails in the first place or should have shut their mouths in cyberspace because whatever was leaked wasn't a lie.
Oh really, so it's certain that there was interference? Why even investigate then? Surely you do realize that the FBI and CIA don't even agree on this issue.
Hmm. Well, see, here's the thing—I'm a guy on a hockey message board. So the decision on whether to investigate further doesn't really fall to me, unfortunately.
The CIA seems to believe there's something to it though, so if that's not good enough for you, what would be?

I predict that absolutely nothing will come of this.
It has nothing to do with hacking voting machines. That's not what they are talking about at all.
As for nothing coming of it, could be. People are willing to believe anything Trump says, even if it completely contradicts what he said yesterday, so who knows?

For Tillerson, his job at ExxonMobile was to forge these relationships on behalf of his company and shareholders. He's also done some things that directly went against US interests and foreign policy. His personal views might be completely different.
And he has to be better than Bolton, who will probably be nominated if Tillerson doesn't get confirmed.
I'd be more concerned about him being a political n00b, when Trump and Tillerson and Mad Dog and Conspiracy Man get together to discuss foreign policy, the civilian experience is zero, and Tillerson's lifetime of experience and perspective is for an entity other than the US, so it's hard to see how the military view of generals won't be dominant.
It seems pretty clear that the administration is going to be pro-Russia so even if it was Romney the SoS would still have to accomplish the goals set out by the WH.
Tillerson has effectively run one of the largest nations in the world across multiple boarders and dealt with polticians and a war against his only product.
I think he becomes an effective counter balance to the hawks who want to invade. Tillerson essentially represents corporatist non-military interests. And in general would have seen peace rather than war as the opportunity. I suspect he comes in with a why bother to invade when we can just conquer economically. He is also probably a cozy up to the dictator type guy too.

FBI Director James B. Comey and Director of National Intelligence James Clapper have backed a CIA assessment that Russia intervened in the 2016 election in part to help Donald Trump win the presidency, according to U.S. officials.
Comey’s support for the CIA’s conclusion suggests that the leaders of the three agencies are in agreement on Russian intentions, contrary to suggestions by some lawmakers that the FBI disagreed with the CIA.
“Earlier this week, I met separately with (Director) FBI James Comey and DNI Jim Clapper, and there is strong consensus among us on the scope, nature, and intent of Russian interference in our presidential election,” CIA Director John O. Brennan said in a message to the agency’s workforce, according to U.S. officials who have seen the message
“The three of us also agree that our organizations, along with others, need to focus on completing the thorough review of this issue that has been directed by President Obama and which is being led by the DNI,” Brennan’s message read.
Trump has consistently dismissed the intelligence community’s findings about Russian hacking.
The CIA and FBI declined to comment.
The CIA shared its latest assessment with key senators in a closed-door briefing on Capitol Hill about two weeks ago in which agency officials cited a growing body of intelligence from multiple sources. Specifically, CIA briefers told the senators it was now “quite clear” that electing Trump was one of Russia’s goals, according to the officials, who spoke on the condition of anonymity to discuss intelligence matters.
CIA and FBI officials don’t think Russia had a “single purpose” by intervening during the presidential campaign. In addition to helping Trump, intelligence officials have told lawmakers that Moscow’s other goal included undermining confidence in the U.S. electoral system.
Scaramucci—who is on Trump’s Presidential Transition Team Executive Committee—was on CNN’s Wednesday edition of New Day, interviewed by anchor Chris Cuomo. The topic was global warming, specifically a recent and terrifying effort by Trump’s team to get the names of all Department of Energy scientists who work on climate change and have attended conferences on the subject. Given how anti-science Trump’s Cabinet nominations are, and Trump’s own predilection for harassing and attacking people, this move to collect names of scientists is extraordinarily chilling. It brings up visions of Joseph McCarthy at the very least.
CUOMO: But you don't accept the science. Let me just move on to something else, though, which is—
SCARAMUCCI: I didn't say that. I said I’m not certain about it—
CUOMO (talking simultaneously): You said you don't know. I'm saying the scientific community does.
SCARAMUCCI: But you're saying that you do, and you're saying the scientific community knows, and I'm saying people have gotten things wrong throughout the 5,500-year history of our planet.
Scaramucci said on twitter that he believes the earth is 4.5 billion years old, he was talking about human history he says.
You should have to pass a skill testing, fact based question, regarding the existence of climate change, evolution, the impact of vaccines, and how 'alternative' medicines help before you can get a job more important than McDonalds, let alone a high ranking government job.
Saw this on Twitter earlier this week, thought it was well done.
Spoiler!
It's not bad. Just some observations. The Guardian should be higher. The Wall Street Journal should be much lower and further to the right. I know a reporter from the WSJ and she has told me many times that, after Murdoch bought the paper, management tells them how to write their stories and the spin they are expected to put on stories. They should be at the same level as Fox News, just not as far right. Fiscal Times should be fatter right and much lower. Not saying they are the propaganda arm for the Council on Foreign Relations, by they don't stray far from the doctrine promoted by one of the most powerful think tanks around. I don't trust any source that prmooted austerity as the silver bullet to government problems.

Trump disagreed with the intelligence communities because he was 'miffed'.
Scaramucci said Trump is “miffed” by the notion that Russian cyberattacks played any role in his surprise Election Day victory and that is why he has pushed back against reporting about it on Twitter multiple times this week.
Watching the Obama press conference makes me realize how much I am going to miss him. I don''t agree 100% with everything he has done, but he is so smart and eloquent. Quite possibly the best orator of our generation.

Well we've had the Trump Drumpf extension. Now we have the Trump Bull#### extension.

We made a tool that slips a bit more context into Trump's tweets. It's still in the early stages, but our goal is to provide additional context where needed for Trump's tweets moving forward (and a few golden oldies). For example, here's what it shows in relation to that Trump tweet.

Lol, that is so Trump. He's such a childish buffoon, he can't accept any scenario that shows him in a negative light or doesn't fit in with his fictional alternate reality.

I'm not particularly sure what point you are trying to make here. All I'm saying is that it's far to early to draw conclusions and that many of the claims being made are likely outside the realm of possibility.

Actually, there has been a significant amount of speculation regarding Russian hacking into voter databases and computer systems, much of it baseless of course. I never expect brilliance coming into this thread, but if you are going to condescendingly chastise me, at least have a baseline level of education regarding the topic at hand.
