Favorite stocking stuffers
The Holiday Tradition thread got me membering back to my days as a kid and how much I loved opening up my stocking because it was just a treasure trove of trinkets. As you get older those trinkets seem to be replaced with deodorant, tooth brushes and socks. Got me thinking, what is everyone's favorite stocking stuffer to both give and receive?
As a kid I would love to get micro machines or the really small lego sets in there, just made my day. It was usually a hint to the bigger present I was getting as the small lego would be the same theme (pirates, Knights etc..). The one year though they put a copy of Legend of Zelda in there and I was like what the heck, we don't even have a Nintendo yet? And the look on my parents face as it clicked in my head that our big present this year was a Nintendo is something I won't ever forget and I am sure they never forgot the look on my face either.
For my partner I tend to put in some bathroom and hair products, Christmas orange, all the regular stuff, but then take a page out of my parents book and hide one good item in the bottom like a piece of not to expensive jewelry or tickets to something. Always seems to get a good reaction and she seems to forget every year something big is coming in the stocking, or plays dumb for my sake.

Sweet Storybook. That they have slowly eroded from a 10 pack of Lifesavers to a 6 pack is a crime against humanity.

Ohh snap the lifesaver book I totally forgot about that. Definitely a high light of my childhood Christmas, and eating half of the packs before noon. Trading with my brother for the flavors we liked and didn't like.

As an adult, mini bottles of booze. They tend to get consumed as the unwrapping mayhem of the kids commences.
As a kid the stocking was like a tone setter for the type of gifts I would receive later in the day. When Genesis games found there way into the stocking - I knew i was in for a good day!

Batteries. Seriously.
With wireless keyboards and mice and various other things. Batteries.
And if they dont like batteries, well, now you've got batteries in a sock, in Philadelphia thats considered standard equipment at most sporting events.

You have some of the right letters. The correct answer, is, of course, scotch.
