Up Close with Gaudreau: Ryan Leslie podcast
https://www.nhl.com/flames/news/up-c...au/c-284641956
Haven't had a chance to listen to it all but the first 6 minutes or so were real good.

Leslie is fantastic. If Millions ever moved up or on from Sportsnet I'd love to see Ryan on the broadcast.

As a smaller guy myself, I always love reading about the tricks that guys like Steve Nash and Johnny use to succeed their worlds.
The things Nash taught himself how to do to get around massive defenders just blows my mind.

Ryan Leslie is a nice guy. I was at the game against the Nucks early in the season and he saw me and my buddy wearing out Flames jersey so he came up to say hi.
Just a classy dude in my opinion.

Isn't he already one of the intermission hosts?
I always see him talking to Francis, Glencross or interviewing players.

I was at a game this year when during an intermission interview with a six or seven year old kid with cancer he asked "is it tough going through chemo?" I wanted to die of awkwardness. WTF kind of question is that to ask anyone, but especially a kid, live in front of 20,000 people?

Yeah, and they finally got him a desk as the "host" of intermission segments this year!
I'd rather see him with the Flames than with Sportsnet. Better access to the players that way.

I know it's all relative, and basketball players are massive, but Steve Nash is 6'3".

I totally get what you're saying... My friend and I once said the same thing about Steve Nash being small but he's actually 6'3 (in real life) !
I would be small like Nash any day!

Ryan is great, but where is that hot chick that did the interviews and game day stuff on the Flames site?

Yes, her.
Funny, everytime I watch the videos, it's Ryan. I haven't seen her in a while.

Yeah it drives me nuts calling Nash small, but giving up 6" to everyone around you when you're 6'3 is the same as it is when you're 5'9.
(Unless you're an Oiler, cause then you're just taking 6" from everyone around you.)

Glad he's on our team and will be for the next several years.

I know I'm going to sound like a SJW but it really is sad that she is great at her job and because she is a good looking woman, she has to read posts about her looks constantly. I really don't think it is fair to her, because she actually is real good at what she does but all I ever see people on forums talk about (not just here) is her looks.

Cool interview. I like Leslie too, but I found him really annoying in this interview. Asking the same questions 3 times all at once every time.
