preferably not a lawyer, cause i would like to make it as cheap as possible.

What kind of document? If it's just an Alberta document I know a commissioner of oaths in the SW that could help you out.

I would strongly dissuade anyone from using this firm.

I ended up having to take the law student and the legal secretary through all of our paperwork for our condo purchase step by step so they would see where they made an error in excess of $7,000.

This was after they both swore up and down that their work was correct and that there was no way that we could have already paid our 5% down to the builder. They didn't return calls during the process and acted very dismissive of our concerns.

They caused us so much additional stress that it was unreal. They were condescending to us and never even offered an apology when they realized that I had been right all along when disputing the amount required for our bank draft. Having my wife in tears thinking that we would end up defaulting on our closing because we didn't have a spare $7,000 lying around is simply par for the course for them.

Ouch. The lawyer I used had a cot in his office, but they were cheap!
Oh well, everything seemed to work out.
